My daughter has a friend in preschool named Mary Beth and I think this is so adorable. I also know of people with names like Sara Grace and Beth Anne.
What are some other adorable variations that you can say a girls first and middle name together? (please no dumb jokes)

I have a 1 year old daughter. The biggest problem we have with her is putting her in the car seat. My wife sits with her in the back seat and tries to keep her engaged with toys and books. But even then, it works for only 10-15 mins. After that she starts howling to get out of the car seat. Even music, which she normally likes, can't keep her engaged any longer. Looks like she hates the idea of being tied down to something. One other problem we have is that if she cries loudly for a short while, she has a tendency of vomiting out whatever she has eaten in the last hour or two. So we are a bit apprehensive about leaving her to cry by herself for too long.

Is there any easy way to get our daughter used to sitting in the car seat? Is there anything we can do to make her enjoy sitting in the car seat? Or is letting her cry and realize that crying would not help to get her out of the car seat the only way to go about it? We can't go for any long drives because of this problem.

How long after a c-section is it ok to get on a rollercoaster? I had a c-section almost 4 weeks ago and next week we will be hitting the disney parks which will be 5 weeks post op and I was wondering if it would be ok to get on a rollercoaster if I was up for it. I'm not sure if I will be but I just wanted to know. I haven't had any problems with my scar or anything and it looks pretty healed at least on the outside. What do you think?

I now have to take the 3 hour screening. Any advice before I take it? I do not have to take it for a few more days, so is there anything I can do to help my potential blood sugar issue between now and then? I sure hope I pass the three hour test. This has me fairly worried.....

I went in on Friday for my 34 week appt and I was measuring at 30 weeks. He scheduled an ultrasound for Tuesday. He is concerned about #1- baby size #2- that I may be leaking water. If I AM leaking water, do you know what the doctor will do? Will they take the baby out? How much water SHOULD I have in there at 34 weeks?

I need help to determine my possibility of being pregnant. Let me start by giving a little information about my situation. I have been ttc for the past 7 months now. My last 2 periods were a little different. Normally my periods would last 5 days and are medium heavy on the first 2 days and normal throughout the rest. Well my period in May came on time but only lasted 3 days and was really light (one reg. tapon and one panty liner each day). And this month it came on the 24th, really light.Throughout the day I used only one tapon and it only had a little light pink and brown blood on it. Today I only used one tapon and it looks as if my period has left . As far as symptoms go I have been feeling nauseas every morning, very tired throughout the day, it seems like I am always hungry and my nipples are starting to look a little different to me. All of a sudden my nipples have about 8 bumps on each one and they are sometimes wrinkle and hard, they are sore and itch. What do you all think?

My docs thought i was about 11 weeks preg had my first ultra sound today they said the baby measured at about 9 weeks but with no visible heartbeat thay want me to have a d&c later this week . I have had previous miscarages . Has any one ever had a US w/ no heartbeat at aprox 9 weeks .

Hi,

Only yesterday, I found out that i am pregnant? I missed my period which was due on June 19 then yesterday I took HPT and it was positive. Today, I went for urine test and waiting for lab results.
I called up my hospital to set up an appointment with gynec but they told me first I have to get an appointment with midwife and only after that I can get to see a doctor.
I got an appointment with midwife on August,2. But by the time I would be around 10 weeks pregnant.
Is this a normal procedure? Is it too late for first appointment? Can I lead a normal life till week 10 or I have to take some precautions?

Please advice and share your experience.

I have a difficult situation at home. My elder daughter (8.5 yrs) is easy to manage with little explanation and direction. And my 6.5 yr old son has chosen to be the opposite ... he is wilful, refuses direction from me + teachers and refuses to pay attention in class + do his required work.

Since I believe in a stress free childhood, they go to a school that only has 15 students in a class, does not believe in scolding or threatening kids and teaches them at their own pace. But even with all these facilities - my son does not complete the work required of him. Instead he disrupts class, argues with the teacher and throws tantrums. Initially I thought it would pass away - but then I realised it was more serious ... so I adopted the carrot and stick approach. But now we are in a situation where if I don't use the stick ... he does not toe the line. And this is just what I do not want.

The situation is more difficult because the elder one has early puberty and is more mature ! HELP.

ok ive seen many pro- (choice,life) questions that put down pro-lifers like me. here let me telll yousomething. im pro life,vegetarian, do NOT support the war, and love our planet earth. i beleive a woman should not kill a poor baby fetus. it is alive and deserves to live. if she did not want a baby she shouldve worn protection. if she was raped, she shoukdnt be ashamed its not her fault! if they dont want the baby, there are many women who cant get pregnant who do! she should just give it up for adoption. not murder the poor thing!

I tried to eat pineapples (which I don't think did anything in the first place), walking a lot, and having sex. Nothing seems to work. I have about 9 more day till my due date, but I just can't wait any more. She is sitting on my tailbone adding more pain to my lower back. Please help.

I had a missed miscarriage over 8 weeks ago. I had a D&C to prevent infection. My heart is completely broken. I have gone through feeling of wanting to get pregnant right away to never again. I am now again wanting to try again but I have not had a period yet. I have taken a pregnancy test a few days ago but it was neg. I then went to my Doctor and he said to wait a few more weeks. I have read many things on the net that make it seems that 4-6 weeks is the normal. To top it off my sister, my sister in law and a few of my friends are all pregnant and although I am extremley happy for them I can't help feeling very jelous. I am 28 shortly to be 29 and I have always wanted a house full of kids. Can anyone help I would apriecate any comments

Are the "Childbirth Preparation" courses the same thing as the lamaze classes? That seems to be all that the hospitals offer and a google search doesn't produce any help. I really want to have a natural childbirth but I can't find any of these classes around.
