Are the "Childbirth Preparation" courses the same thing as the lamaze classes? That seems to be all that the hospitals offer and a google search doesn't produce any help. I really want to have a natural childbirth but I can't find any of these classes around.

If you want natural childbirth, don't take Lamaze classes. Most of them are not really natural childbirth. Find a class that teaches the Bradley method. You can also get the book, Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way. It will tell you what you need to practice.

Childbirth Preparation should be the same thing. At your next OBGYN appointment ask your doctor. They should definatly be able to point you in the right direction. Congratulations and Good LUck :)

I live in Phoenix, and I had my baby with a midwife at Bethany Women's Center. (Connie Garcia, LOVE her!!) They offer a variety of classes. Go to www.bethanywomen.com for all the info you need. Good luck!
