How long after a c-section is it ok to get on a rollercoaster? I had a c-section almost 4 weeks ago and next week we will be hitting the disney parks which will be 5 weeks post op and I was wondering if it would be ok to get on a rollercoaster if I was up for it. I'm not sure if I will be but I just wanted to know. I haven't had any problems with my scar or anything and it looks pretty healed at least on the outside. What do you think?

Well I'm not saying I'm going to get on one I'll probably be too busy caring for my newborn I was just curious. So anything too hard I shouldn't do. I had to pick up my two year old to put her in her high chair today. She weighs 25 lbs. Could that have messed something up inside. I didn't feel anything when I picked her up.

I was told not to exercise or do anything strenuous for 6-8 weeks. Hmm, I'm not sure that I would have wanted to risk being on a roller coaster --- you never know how that might inadvertantly twist and turn your body. You need to make sure your internal stitches and incision are healed before doing anything too strenuous --- if it were me, I wouldn't risk it, but call your doctor.

The safety equipment bar that comes down can hurt, so I would say no unless it's a chest bar. So, something like the Haunted House would be fine, but something with a bar that comes down to your belly would not. I would avoid all the fast coasters entirely for reasons others have stated. Wouldn't hurt to call the doctor's office for instructions either.

I have had 2 c-sections and my doctor told me that you are not supposed to lift anything or exercise to extensively for a year after because the lining of you uterus and incision are more susceptible to herniating. I would check with your doctor.

I would definitely ask the doctor. I don't think it would hurt anything, but I would double check with the doc. Congrats on your new baby and have fun on vacation!!

It would be safer to wait another 2 weeks, those coasters jolt you around pretty hard!

Ask your doctor. If you have been cleared by your doctor then I think it would be ok.
