I had a missed miscarriage over 8 weeks ago. I had a D&C to prevent infection. My heart is completely broken. I have gone through feeling of wanting to get pregnant right away to never again. I am now again wanting to try again but I have not had a period yet. I have taken a pregnancy test a few days ago but it was neg. I then went to my Doctor and he said to wait a few more weeks. I have read many things on the net that make it seems that 4-6 weeks is the normal. To top it off my sister, my sister in law and a few of my friends are all pregnant and although I am extremley happy for them I can't help feeling very jelous. I am 28 shortly to be 29 and I have always wanted a house full of kids. Can anyone help I would apriecate any comments
thanks!!!

While the website said 4-6 weeks is normal, you need to listen to your doctor.

While you've always wanted a house full of kids, you need to give yourself a little break. You just had a devasting miscarriage, which isn't easy for ANYONE to handle. You need to relax and focus on something else in your life to allow your body to get back into a normal cycle.

I know exactly how you feel. I had a miscarriage about 3 mos ago. The pregnancy was unplanned, especially since i just had surgery 3 weeks before i found out i was pregnant. My best friend is pregnant and my sister has 7 mos old twins (boy and girl) and a 2.5 year old who live with us. I'm surrounded by all these little ones and i thought it would be hard on me, but i felt the love of my tiniest family to be the best medicine. I'm still horribly jealous, and my doctor (along with all the doctors i work with) has told me to wait a YEAR to get pregnant!! but this is because i had hernia surgery and a miscarriage. I know the reason why she wants me to wait is so that i can heal and be truly healthy and happy to have a child. Your body needs time to heal from your lost pregnancy and from your D&C procedure. I know it's hard (i have to wait a lot longer then you do!) but be patient. Don't stress and be healthy. that is the best thing you can do right now.

I had a miscarriage in April, my doc told me to wait at least one full cycle to try again. I know how you feel, my neighbor is pregnant and we would have only been a few months behind, and seeing her belly grow makes me miss what could have been. The best thing to do is just go by how you feel. Maybe you should just wait til all your mixed feelings go away before you actually start trying again. Good Luck! And keep your chin up, your time will come again :o)

nothing comapres to having a miscarage, im so sorry. When you are ready to try again, know that your chances of another are very small, most women can have many healthy babies after a miscarrage. look for a pregnancy loss support group, there are many on yahoo groups. I may help you to discuss your feeling with other mothers who have been through this too. Good luck and God bless.

Patience is a virtue. If your doctor wants you to wait, he or she is the expert and knows the right thing to do!

I wish you a wonderful pregnancy and a healthy, happy baby when you deliver.

Best of luck, and maintain your health in expectation of your next pregnancy.
