It seems like all she wants to do is watch TV all the time and when I ask her to do something she gets snappy, and I think she needs to be more responsible. I don't want her doing chores all day, but what do I do?

If you were her parents, would you have signed the consent form for her to marry, claiming that you had no other choice?

I don't have any children, but I just find it hard to imagine being so detached and isolated with my daughter's personal life that I feel helpless to talk to her about a relationship that apparently began when she was 14 and he was 38.

Seriously, what would it take for you to sign those consent forms as a parent?

My mom says that a few days before going into labor she would always suddenly have lots of energy - but then she would use all her energy up cleaning and nesting, so when the actual labor came she was back to feeling fatigued like before.

So, assuming I'm like my mother, and get that burst of energy, what should I do with it? Is there a way to put it to good use without using it up?

I'm at 32 weeks now, so hopefully this won't actually happen for a little while yet.

well im 21 weeks pregnant, and I work as a receptionist. My boss smokes in his office, and Im about 20 ft away and I can smell it. I usually open the front door and light a candle, it helps but I can still smell it and it bugs the sh*t outa me!! thing is, that a smoking ban was passed and u cant even smoke in a bar where i live, so I know its illegal and its a big fine if he gets caught. I cant exactly tell him to quit smoking because hes my boss. But then people I work with always bug me about having the door open because its 90 out and the air is on...well I cant stand the smoke !!

what should I do?!

I had an unmedicated IUI done yesterday. Today, I am very, very tired. I can't get enough sleep. My hips ache and I have a dull cramping in my stomach. I feel a bit light headed and very weak. Are these normal symptoms to have after having a IUI?

Just curious to see how many of you out there decided not to send your child to preschool and why? I am a stay at home Mom to a three year old. I have been considering having him go to Head Start when he is 4. Honestly, I am reluctant to because he is an extremely sociable, well adapted child- but I know it is important for them to learn how to behave around others. Please share your experiences with me. Thanks.

I have a three month old son that I breastfeed and he refuses to take a bottle or a pacifier. My husband wants to go somewhere every weekend all day long. This can get difficult. I am also tired because of the housekeeping, cooking, and I am taking online college courses. I also have three other kids at home, their ages are 11, 9, and 8. My baby does not sleep thru the night. I don't think my husband understands how tired I am. How do I get him to understand that I am tired and this also makes our baby tired and cranking when he is out all day and kept awake so much? Just telling him does not work. He thinks that I am just making excuses because I don't want to do anything but sit at home.

Eli
Ezra
Elliot
Eleazar
Ephraim (or Efram)

And which middle name would go with one of those first names? Something traditional and/or old testament biblical and no weird spellings.

Thanks!

I'm breastfeeding about 36% and supplementing formula the rest. My daughter is 5 and a half months old. I haven't seen any hint of bleeding since 5weeks post partum. My last decrease in the actual amount of breast milk was when my daughter was 8 weeks. I was trying to get the breastfeeding going 100% She was on 1 ounce formula and 3 ounces pumped breastmilk and i had a nursing marathon. I ended up losing an ounce of breastmilk production and my baby lost weight, the doctor told me to give up. Instead of giving up completely after all the hard work, I started just supplementing and quit pumping to up the amount. I just double checked how much she eats last week. I called the gyn to ask about new birth control options. We're using condoms (that look like we're using them fine, they're full). My gyn wants me to take a pregnancy test (which I will do tomorrow morning) Just curious about when people started periods while supplementing. (I saw lots of answers for just formula and just bf)

My husband and I just found out we're pregnant and we want to start stocking up on diapers and wipes early so we don't have to worry about spending money for that when the baby comes. I was just wondering from the time your baby was born to when you got him/her potty trained how many diapers, and the sizes (and for how long at a time) do you think you used. I'm just not sure how many newborn, size 1, size 2... to stock up on. I want to make sure I don't buy too many of one. I know newborns can go through like 12 a day but how long does that last for. Let me know from your own experience. Should I buy a few packs of each size or what and how many diapers to a package would you say?

Is it ok to let my 3 daughters (ages 9, 11, and 12) run around and play outside in just their bathing suits even if they're not getting wet or muddy or dirty? It's very hot and humid where we live and I think this would allow them to move around more easily and feel good about themselves. I just didn't know if I should let this happen? If not, what do you suggest? Thanks in advance!
