Anytime around 4-6 months depending on the child. My little girl was very active and "early" on just about everything so she was ready by 4 months and really started jumping like crazy at about 5 1/2 months. I have a little girl in my in-home daycare who is almost 6 months and is not even ready to support herself in an exersaucer, so just follow your baby's clues and their ability to support their head and control their upper body :-)

My niece sat in her jumperoo at 3 weeks. She was in a hip harness when she was little as both of her hips were dislocated from birth. She didnt like her swing or her bouncer so we tried putting her in the jumperoo to see if it would calm her down any. She just sat in it at first and really liked it. It kept her legs apart like they were supposed to be. She actually started playing with it around 3 or 4 months though.

my son is 3 months, is able to hold his head up pretty well, so we just bought him one. We got the rainforest jumperoo and it has a head support just in case if he needs it, but the manufacter age is actually from birth. :)
