My daughter will be 3 in August and weighs 24 lbs. I was always worried about her weight but my pediatrician says its ok. She was always small from birth (4 lbs 12oz) and being that my husband and I are both small built we need not to worry. As long as shes gaining weight and the weight is in proportion to their hieght then shes ok.
If her pediatrician says her weight is good then leave her alone.
you can give her pediasure if shes not eating a balanced diet. How much ?? ... maybe 1 a day. Check with your doctor or packaging. thats great that shes trying new things. At that age they are very picky so give her stuff you know she likes and will eat. Keep healthy snacks at reach for her all day and when shes hungry shell eat it.

She doesn't sound too underweight. My son is 28 months and eats all day long. I was thrilled last month when he hit 28 lbs., but he lost some and this month is back to 25 lbs. My doctor said he's fine, could use weight, but is fine. Some kids are just smaller when they are younger. If she was only 4 1/2 lbs. at birth then she is a very small one anyway. I wouldn't be worried. And don't worry.... my little one went through the whole not eating much stage too. It will pass... I promise... if she gets hungry she'll eat...

My 22 month previous daughter weighs 21 lbs and is 32 inches tall. She is small yet is healthy, lively, playful, happy, and intensely lively. She eats a enormously healthy weight loss plan, yet some days it type of appears like she eats hardly ever something and different days she eats a ton! I grant her 3 food and a million or 2 small snacks according to day and particularly situations she eats them and different circumstances she purely takes a pair of bites. i do in no way attempt to rigidity her to devour and we aren't making food and food a great ordeal. that's basically area of our each and on a daily basis recurring. My daughter's pediatrician is of an identical opinion that she is unquestionably small for her age, yet she isn't worried. some little ones are purely for sure smaller than different little ones, yet are purely as healthy or much greater healthy than their greater desirable friends. So do not complication!

OK, my daughter weighed 5lb 1 oz when she was born, and she was underweight in her age only becuse she was soo tiny when she was born, she ate like every other child and grew up fine, actually when she was 2 she had a a big growth spurt, now she is 3 1/2 and weighs 42lbs..lol...
My son is the underweight guy, hes 22 months old just hit 20lbs at 18 months. I was worried like u wouldnt believe, the doctor did test and everything, but everything was neg (which is good). my doctor gave me pedisure to try for him, he honestly doesnt care for them. he likes the nutripals bars, but thats it. My doctor also reccommended high calorie diet. He eats alot a peanut butter, icecream after dinner, alot of high calorie foods. You can try the pedisure, but try the nutripals first, they are cheaper also. Just give her a tiny bit at first in a sippy cup/bottle, to see if she likes it. If she does then give her a 1/2 cup in the morning and more at dinner. Also is she a whole milk? try giving her more whole milk throughout the day instead of juice or water, thats really fattening.

Your daughter is not underweight actually... 22lbs is healthy. She might be a little skinny but nothing to worry about.. . My daughter weighed around that much when she was 2. I think you are overreacting...sometimes kids just don't want to eat until they get hungry.
