Does this sound dangerous? I also feel intense rectal pressure. These cramps occur about every 2 minutes and last for like 15-20 seconds...This all lasts for a few hours. I'm 1 cm and my doctor told me a few days ago that my cervix was "flat". Opinions?

I am a mother of 3 children. My youngest is 15mos. old. She is a lot needier than my other two were, at least that I can remember. (they are 4 and 6). I totally believe in the attachment parenting style and am doing it with her. Lately for some reason I am catching flack from my mother-in-law about how she thinks she is held too much. She isn't totally walking yet and does love me to hold her, however, I don't hold her all the time. I can't with two other kids! I also engage her in activities and she does fine for a while. She just likes me to hold her. She sucks her thumb and holds my hair and everything is wonderful in her little world. Personally I don't think there is anything wrong it. She is my last baby and she won't be little for long. I am so fed up with these unsolicited comments that I just want to cry. Now my husband is making comments too! Does anybody have any encouragement for me? It doesn't help that I have PMS and want to bite someone's head off. Thanks :)

my daughter is 2 and a half months & its gettin pretty hot out here in sunny california. is it safe to take her to the pool yet? im worried about her trying to swallow the water or something becuase when im giving her a bath, she tries to swallow the water lol any advice would be appreciated :]

Last week I was dialated at 1... cervix was soft, they could feel her head, and my water was buldging and my midwife swept my membrains. Today I went in and it was the same thing, I didnt progress anymore than last week, but they stripped me again. Now I am having really bad menstrual cramps, and sometimes I have tightning.... but it is NOT regular....I just hurt a lot down there... do you think it is from the stripping, or am I in labor? What can I do to turn them into real contractions? Thank you!!

I am supposed to be around 32 weeks pregnant. (Due August 15. I went to the doctor today and he measured me at 36/37 weeks. This is my third baby. My last child was large at 9lbs 5 oz. He said he also wanted to check the fluid and scheduled an ultrasound! Anyone else have this problem? I do not have gestational diabetes and definitley not having twins. I am quite confused. Help Please!!

(TMI ALERT!)
I am 36w 2d pregnant with twins. I've been at 4.5 cm now for a few days but my contractions have been weak and irregular.
Well, I had my 'bloody show' last Friday and I JUST had something that looked just like it again. I swabbed just to check to see if I was still bleeding and it appears to be coming from my labia, but I cant tell for sure. Is this normal to occur just before labor or should I be concerned?
I have 3 other children, but always been induced before. Thanks in advance for your help.

I am 36 weeks and as of lastnight 50% effaced and 1 cm Dialated. I am also have contractions 3 1/2 minutes apart and have started the "Bloody Show". Would it be safe for me to have sex at this point in time or no? NOT IN MUCH PAIN WITH THE CONTRACTIONS.

I have 2 children. I have gotten my tubes lazered, so there is only a 98.99% chance I'll get pregnant again, so the doctor says. But I've had throbbing feelings, (They don't hurt), in the vaginal area along with alot of urinating. I got the tubilar surgery almost 2 years ago. I have a friend who we thought was pregnant. She says she had the baby (this was over a month ago) but the baby died because of bad lungs. The baby was full term and in the pictures she showed us(on a cell phone) the baby looked perfectly healthy with a pacifer in mouth. Anyway, our friends believe she's lying. I won't go through the reasons here. She doesn't grieve and she went back to her promisicous ways. She came over two days after the babypassed because she says her family was bothering her. She stayed the weekend and she got laid. So fast forward....she believes she's pregnant. I want to know if this is even possible.

I think she is soon going to start her period. When I told my first daughter, (And she still laughs at me today for this) That wearing a pad was like a big bandaid for a boo boo. (She was only 10 years and 2 days when she started! Come on) LOL! So, how can I phrase it better for my next mother daughter talk! She just turned 11.
