Some of these guys have it backwards (unless there's a reverse telling of the myth), but it's supposedly carry low it's a boy, carry high it's a girl. But it's totally untrue. I'm carrying my baby really high and it's definitely a boy. So sorry, no way to tell from just looking at the stomach. Gotta wait for that ultrasound!

no... of course not, one little organs absense or presense would have absolutly zero bearing on the size or shape of the stomach, i mean if you could tell just by looking at the stomach then why would there be ultra sounds that were designed specifically to find out the sex of a baby. Also the egyptians used to pee in different types of seeds and if one type sprouted then it was a boy and if another type sprouted it was a girl... just a little fun fact i thought i'd throw in there.

That is false, just an old wives' tale. How much a woman weighs, if she has had a baby before and other things determine how she carries and how her stomach it shaped. Although, they say ( and again it's an old wives' tale) that girls are carried high and boys are carried low. That's how it has been with my son and girl.

well the only way you can find the sex of the baby is through ultra sound...those type of things like boys ride high..and stuff are myths. You can't really be sure...I know this is the same answer as the mightypower or whatever her name is... but I'm just saying it in a nicer way. But ya, My mom said when she had my other three brothers she felt crappy and ugly. And when she was pregnant with me she felt good and pretty...but again it's not true...it's just a fun way to guess the sex of your baby.

You can't tell by how the stomach is shaped, my stomach is low and very round(I'm having a boy31 weeks)your best bet is an ultra-sound..everybodys body grows differently!!

You can't tell. If somebody said they were right on their guess it's just coincedence, in my opinion. My sis had a pointy belly and she had a girl. My cousin's wife had a round huge belly and they now have a son. Although my other she had a round belly and it was a girl. So I wouldn't put money on that assumption, but hey, everybodys different.

They are all old wives tales, there is no way to tell without an ultrasound what sex the baby is. Old wives tales shld be used for fun only, I wouldn't go painting the nursery blue because someone said you were carring low or eating more savory foods than sweet.

No, but there are many "wives tales" that sometimes stand the test of time.
Here are 2:
They say that the mom will carry girls lower.
I have also heard whoever was aggressive during conception. Woman aggressive will result in a boy. Man aggressive will result in a girl.

another old wives tale about it is girls make you ugly and break out because they are taking in all your beauty and after you drop your natural beauty comes back, and your stomach is very low. With boys you look natural beauty shines through the whole time and they sit high.

Nope, you can't predict the baby's gender like that.

If you guess a baby's gender before birth, you have a chance of 50% of getting it right, since there are ony two options after all. So it happens rather easily, that people who just have been lucky at guessing a few times, start claiming 'they knew'.
