A couple days after implantation the HCG rises in the blood, then a couple days later in the urine. So that would be about a week before you missed your period.

for you to find out if you are pregnant a blood test can tell you way before a urine test. test results for a blood preg test takes no more than 24 hours depending on where you have it done. the hospital could have it done within hours since they have a lab in house but it will cost alot more.

Mostly blood tests consist of about a week to 7 days to get a relevent answer. Regular pregnancy test at your local drug store will work more faster. But may not be as effeciant.
