Eli
Ezra
Elliot
Eleazar
Ephraim (or Efram)

And which middle name would go with one of those first names? Something traditional and/or old testament biblical and no weird spellings.

Thanks!

We are not Amish, but we live in New York City, and everyone names their kids the fad names, like Emma and Madison, and we want to be traditional. Our first son was named Benjamin, which I thought was a perfect name - easy to spell, traditional, and Ben is a nice abbreviation for it. So we want something along those lines, but we also want it to start with an E to commemorate a family member who passed away.

I don't care for any of the names personally, I think that the kid would get made fun of, especially if you picked Eleanzar or Ezra. There are a lot of better E names out there. But if I had to pick one I guess I would pick Elliot.

The middle names I would pick wouldn't be Old Testament, but they are traditional:

Elliot Joseph
Elliot Ryan
Elliot Michael

I think Elliot is a great name. I t puts me in mind of T.S. Eliot, American poet, and George Eliot, the pen name of a female British writer.

I don't mind Eli, either, but I'm not crazy about the other names (though Ezra makes me think of Ezra Pound, American poet).

If you go with Elliot, why not make George the middle name? Or Thomas (the "T" in T S Eliot?)

I like Eli or Elliot and I think Jonah could be a good middle name because it abbreviates to Jo

I like Eli or Elliot - the others sound a bit feminine to me.

Eli Joseph
Elliot Abram
Elliot Jacob
