my 10 mo. old daughter hates stage 3 baby foods and spat them ALL out. So we just skipped that stage and went to soft table foods, even some of the toddler foods, as others have suggested.

My son is the same age...and he hates stage 3 foods as well. I don't know if it is the texture or the taste, I tried 6 different kinds and he spit all of them out. He (and your daughter as well) are so used to smooth things being spoon fed to them that when it's too chunky they make a foul face or just chipmunk the food until they can spit it out later. We have been giving him small cereal treats like the 'Gerber puffs' and small pieces of food from our plates when he eats and he does just fine, learning little by little how to chew better. I wouldn't even bother buying the stage 3's; there isn't even a large variety to choose from. The only ones we still get are the plain vegetables and fruits, then buy the other varieties still in stage 2 and mix w/ thick cereal just to make sure he is getting enough to eat, then we give him solid foods on the side until we can completely transition. My husband is a childhood dietitian and he says that the dinner meals don't have as much nutrition in them as the plain veggies and fruits anyway. It won't take long for her to get the hang of it...especially if she has some teeth;) Good luck to you!

In all honesty the best way to teach a baby to chew is to give them something they can chew on themselves. Give her zwieback toast, a biter biscuit, pickle spear with the seeds cut off, frozen waffle stick, anything like that. She will naturally suck on them and learn to start chewing them, just be sure to keep a close eye on her to be sure she doesn't get any large pieces in her mouth that she can't chew.
I started this with my daughter when she was 5 1/2 months old, now she's 9 1/2 months and eats everything we eat :-)

Monkey See - Monkey Do ! Show her what you mean. My daughter loves it when I pretend to eat her fingers. As you are playing tell her Mommy is going to chew your fingers. Then when she is eating tell her to chew her food. Don't forget to make the motions and maybe even take a bite yourself!

My son who's rather 4-months-previous wears length 2 in Pampers snugly, and he's a huge a boy - weighs sixteen lbs. and 6 ozand is 24 in. once you're utilising Huggies i think you may enhance length greater in the present day, the diapers they make are generally smaller than the Pampers. once you're utilising Pampers however, the subject perhaps which you're putting the diapers on basically somewhat to tight. My son has various chubs on his legs so I generally stretch the section it is going to be around his legs till now putting the diaper on so he does not get the crimson indent markings.

Have you tried showing her by example. We do it all the time with our little one. Do some very exaggerated chewing motions with your food.
Good Luck to you.

Feed her a little bit of noodles everyday and then she will get the hang of it.

Finger food. Vienna sausages are great for starting. Soft enough and just right for beginning chewers.

You can't. You just have to keep offering her chunky but soft foods until she gets the hang of it.

try getting her to chew on things other than food. i remember my brother first started to chew when we gave him a teether. so try that and once she gets the hang of chewing you can try giving her harder foods again. ~Danny~
