When I was pregnant with my first child the prenatals from the obgyn made me sick so I was paying $50 at the health food store every month for "whole food" vitamins that my doc said were 5x better than the ones he prescribed.

Now I'm trying to get pregnant again and went to buy them and they're now $70 for one month. Anyone know a brand thats good??? These ones were "Perfect Prenatal" by new chapter found in health food stores.

I ovulated sometime last week and this week I've felt tight and bloated in the lower abdomen (like I've been doing crunches). And today I've been feeling sharp pains off to the right in my lower abdomen...I think this might be implantation. I also have been experiencing lower back pain, excessive saliva, frequent urination, and feeling exhausted.

I have been a compound tech for a couple of months. I was constantly inhaling drugs such as Progesterone, Testosterone.... I took a pregnancy test twice and they both came out positive. Do you think there was any chemicals that I could have ingested by accident that would give me a false-positive? I quit my job as soon as I found out incase I am pregnant and I didn't want to hurt the baby. I am excited to be pregnant but my first dr. appointment isn't for over a month. Thanks!

.......not to breastfeed anymore, when it prevents allergies, increases a child's IQ and so many more benefits ???
Remember , what happened recently with the pet food, the same could happen with the formula, what would you do ,if your baby died from it ??? Would you sue the company , it wouldn't bring your child back ?.......

I hear people complain about being a stay-at-home-mom ALL the time. It drives me nuts! They talk about not having enough sanity. They talk about not having time to do anything. They talk about never having a break. They talk about everything that is so hard.

If being a stay at home mom was SO hard then why are there SO many stay at home moms [who remember "don't get a break"] online at Y!A? You would've thought that if it were that hard then there would be no one on here.

Are these people just whiners by nature? LOL! This is seriously driving me crazy!

Do you think that being a stay at home mom is hard? If so, why? If not, why?

Thank you!

She'll be 5 on October 3, and CA's cut off date is dec. 2. I dont know if I should put her in this fall or wait another year. I have another daughter who is 4, so if I wait till next year, I'm thinking maybe they can go to school together?? Is this a good or bad thing? I don't really think she is ready socially, but I dont want her to be behind. ANY suggestions/comments?

People say to buy diapers all sizes but what if your baby skips a size or two? What else would you recommend? What did you start buying at first i.e. clothes, diapers, wash products, etc.

I'm four months pregnant and know I need a larger bra, but I'm not sure if I need a larger cup or band size or both. I tried to use a formula I found online to calculate my size -- and it calculated to a 38F and that's just not possible!

Did you need a larger cup or band or both?

Thanks and I apologize for being so naive.

Yesterday i tested around 7pm. And at first it was negative. I dropped it on the bed and went to get something to drink. When i came back, about 2 minutes later i looked and it was a fain horizontal line. and it stayed faint. So i figured it was a positive, now im scared its a evap line... I was gonna test today, because my period was pose to come today (im glad it hasnt arrived yet). But im gonna give it another day or two. Im just scared. But later that night the lines on the positive sign faded. Are they suppose to stay? And do evap lines fade?

By the way i am ttc....
thanks for all the help, and lots of baby dust!!

alright, I don't want everyone to think this is myself were talking about, I know who my babys dad is, but I do want to ask for my friend. she slept with my hubbys friend while she was broke up with her b/f. and then she got back together w/ her b/f, and now she's pregnant. so theres like a 2 week span there between the 2 guys she was with, and she or her doc can't really tell who the dad would be. she don't know when she should have the blood testing done. when do they usually do that, and how long do the results take to come back.. I feel sorry for her, cause she already has a 2 year old, and she's only 19! I'm trying to help her as much as I can, she really don't have family that are there for her to talk to. just trying to be a good friend for her. she's 33 weeks, and I personally think she should start to get things organized and ready for this to be done. any advice for her, other than keep her pants on! I already told her that

I have no clue as to what my baby is and I'm 19 weeks. Before we tried for a baby, I wanted a boy and he wanted a girl. But the moment I knew I was pregnant, I said it was a girl and now he wants a boy. But now, I'm clueless as to what it is but sometimes I think it's a boy because there's this thing I heard that if you crave food, it's a boy or if you crave sweets, it's a girl. (It was true for 3 people I know) Anyway, I've been having crazy dreams, but none about the baby, but last night I had a dream that the baby was a girl, but she was wearing a violet-blue suit. Through the whole dream though, it was a girl. Could it be that it's a girl? (I'd like to know what it is!!)

I am 33 weeks pregnant and trying to decide what we will use for birth control once the baby is born since I plan on breastfeeding. I know there are certain birth control pills you can take while nursing, but I am worried about whether or not they are really safe. I don't always trust research, since a lot of drugs are taken off the market years down the road because they decide they are now unsafe. I guess I'm just looking for a little advice from anyone with experience.

My baby just recently got used to eating baby food from a jar and she does very well with it. Considering she just turned 8 months this week I thought I'd try to give her some finger foods. Crackers, teething biscuits and recently I tried graduates finger foods. I thought the graduates puffs would be good because they are suppose to melt in the babies mouth, however each time I have tried to give her these she gags and chokes and has even thrown up. She doesnt really get the concept of chewing because she can swallow the jar food without chewing even though she has 4 teeth. She has 2 uppers and her 2 lowers. I'm concerned about this because my friends say she should be eating some table food by now. The only thing I give her is formula 4-5 times a day and jar food twice a day. She's 20 pounds so she's not malnurished. I'd appreciate some advice from anyone that has gone through this before. Thanks

My husband and I are wanting another child but I'm concerned about the weight gain. When I had my son, I weighed 180 but got down to 140. By not watching my diet and getting in too little exercise, I have manage to get back too close to my pregnancy weight. If we were to conceive, is it possible to gain little or no weight?

I just found out (for sure!) that I am 8 weeks pregnant. My boyfriend & I plan on telling our parents here very soon. Were trying to get a plan set up to tell our parents so maybe they won't freak out on us that terribly bad(i'm 23,he's 22,we both still live at home) My parents leave tomorrow for a 6 day cruise. Some of my friends are telling me to tell my parents before they leave so it will give them more time to think about it away from home while they're 'relaxing' others tell me me & my bf should sit down this weekend while my family is gone & really think through our plans & tell them next week when they return. What would you all do if you were in my shoes? Tell now or later?

My nurse told me about Keger exercises, explaining that it helps in delivery and afterwards to get back into shape. Has anyone every done these and it helped? (The exercise of tightening your vaginal muscles, as if to hold your urine.)
