It is totally fine to sleep on your belly as long as you are comfortable. They only position that is reccommended you stay away form is laying flat on your back (due to the pressure of your uterus on your spinal area and blocking blood flow to the baby somewhat), bt yor stomach is fine.
You will NOT hurt the baby at all by sleeping on your stomach. The baby is suspended in fluid and wil be floating around in there no matter what position you are in. And puttign pressure on your belly will not hurt the baby.
That little baby in there is VERY well protected. Have no worries.

Good luck and congrats!!!

I am 33 weeks pregnant and I still sleep on my belly. I did it the whole way through both of my other pregnancies and my kids turned out just fine. I think that it is more of a comfort issue for you. The baby is well protected in the womb.

You're not inherently hurting your child but the pressure you put on your baby by sleeping on your stomach lessens the amount of oxygen that they're getting as you get bigger.

For now when you can still stand it, go ahead and do it but as you get into your last trimester (which is soon), you should sleep on your side (particularly your left side I believe) so that your baby gets the most oxygen possible.

Congratulations!

There's no problem lying on your stomach in early pregnancy. At this point, your uterus is still nestled behind your pubic bone, so it's totally protected. Later in your pregnancy, sleeping on your stomach just isn't going to be comfortable. You'd be uncomfortable long before you could ever hurt your baby.

Your not hurting your baby. Many people will recommend you to sleep on your left side. But, sleeping on your stomach isn't hurting your baby. Your baby is surrounded by fluid that is protecting it from harm.
But, if it will help you put your mind to ease then try sleeping on your left side. And remember when in doubt ALWAYS ask your doctor!

Alot of women say that it is bad but I've been told and read that if it hurts the baby the baby (or your subconcious mind) will make you move. My doctor told me it's just bad to sleep on your back. I am 34 weeks pregnant and wake up to find myself on my stomach or back but I always wake up and shift. I think you will be fine.
