My name is Alisha. I'm 23 weeks pregnant and my husband and I just found out we're having a son. He's due Mid-October. We are currently trying to decide on a name. David will be the middle name since my husband wants to name him after his dad. But we can't decide on the first name. One of us likes Caleb better and the other likes Chance better. Let me know what you think Caleb David Lee "OR" Chance David Lee??? Thanks for any and all input!! :)

My 6 goin on 7 year old just asked me why do women get a period? He walked in on me in the bathroom. Unfortately we live in a low rent apartment with no locks on the door. All I told him was that it was necessary for women to do that so they could have babies. A one sentence response. That seemed to satify him. And I certainly don't want to overwhelm/ scare him with too much info to early/quick. Personally I learned about the birds and bees from looking in a book in book at home and I was much older maybe 12. So moms and dads give me some advice comments etc.

my daughter is 6 months and about 2 weeks old, she hates tummy time and shows no interest in crawling, she occasionally rolls over but is not that interested, she can sit on her own and can stand up if she is holding on to something. if she is on my lap she will pull herself up to a standing position and try to walk, does this do any damage to her legs at all?? and should i be worried?

Has any one actually taken evening primrose oil and it help with thier period. And will in help enhance your fertility. I was also looking into using Vitex but I looked in walmart for it and couldn't find it so does anyone know where I could find Vitex other than online. Thanks for all the help. Oh and if primrose oil does enhance fertility did anyone get pregnant from using it. thanks.

I am nearly 36 weeks pregnant and today I have been having more lower abdominal pressure but seems as though when I have a, what I call braxton hicks, I get a sharp shooting pain in my left groin and what feels like a nerve pain that shoots down just my left leg? It happens when I feel the tummy tightening than seems to move down my leg. I literally have to stop until it goes away. I would say over the last four hours it's happend 5 times. What do you think and have you experienced this or know anyone that has? What do you think it is? I'm afraid if I called my doctor he would say 'round-ligiment' pain or something!?!?! But this is new symptom to me! Give me your ideas! Blessings to you all! 34 more days for me!

i just started cereal 4 days ago and food 2 days ago. and she's already wanting and eating all of stage 1 of baby food. so today i gave her all meal courses. breakfast, lunch and dinner and cereal before bed to sleep better. she is 4 1/2 months is this ok or do you think that she is over eating? can you over feed a baby? and is this a good start.

My 3 year old is constantly putting his hands down his pants to adjust himself. It seems to happen alot and everyday. I have a 10 year old son and i remember only a couple of times him having an erection. I know it is nothing sexual...but what causes it and is having that many a day normal?

I don't know what's in the name Jayden, Jadon, or Jaden but my husband loves that name. I really hate it!!!!! It's not that I hate it but it seems like 60 million people have that name. I'm not looking for unique or common names, but I like Adam, Jason, Brendan. You know?! something that won't confuse the boy!!!

I'm almost 36 weeks pregnant and I've gained somewhere around 13-18 lbs. throughout my pregnancy. At certain times, I've actually lost weight, gained a little back, and now I've just plateaued...

The nurse seems a little concerned, but my doctor just smiles and says I won't have to worry about trying to lose weight.

Is it normal to have your weight fluctuate like this? I'm carrying very small, but all my tests have come back normal and there's nothing to cause alarm that I'm aware of.

Am I just being paranoid or should I be concerned?

(And yes, I'm eating well... I'll admit I'm not always hungry, but I make sure I eat enough.)

is it ok to take the kids swimming when i babysit?? the kids r 5(twins), 2, and 1. there will be 2 babysitters so one can watch the older kids in the big pool and the other can watch the younger kids in the kiddie pool..and then switch so both of us can swim with the 5 yr olds, and i have TONS of pool toys- and so do they..... we have to have them outside for a few hours and are trying to think of something to do.

we are CPR certified, also certified in the Heimlich maeuver, and general first adi.

well ive written on here a few times about different symptoms i was having...i really felt like i was pregnant, had sore breasts, missed period, nose bleeding/stopped up, serious nausea, and this stage fright feeling in my gut....
I think ive lost it though : ((
tuesday i noticed only like every other time that i wiped when i went to the bathroom a pinkish discharge...then yesterday light bleeding and mild cramping ( not like my period though, i normally have heavy bleeding w/ clots} i only used one pad yesterday and today only used one also, the blood is red though....
i dont know whats going on? : (( and i was so excited
all i can do is cry

When would be the due date of a baby if it is conceived on May 24, 2007? Wouldn't it be February 24, 2008? And about what time would you find out you were pregnant?

I read the stuff on the test instructions and it says that an ovarian cyst can give you misleading results but which does it effect, if your not pregnant and it would say positive or if your pregnant and it would say negative?

I took the 1 hour test about a month ago and my midwife said I failed with a 130. She said they like it to be below 130. I went in today to do the 3 hour glucose tolerance test. I was fasting both times (not even water).

I read on the babycenter.com website that most practioners want the levels below 140, but that some use 130 to try to catch more women with gestational diabetes. However, with 130 as a limit there are more false positives if 130 is used as the limit.

Should I even be concerned that I have a level of 130? Has anyone else's doctor used that as the level? If so, did you pass or fail the 3 hour test?
