I have two daughters, the oldest is named Alisha, and the younger one is 11 and named Karrie.
I gave Alisha a unique name because unique names stand out. They make the kid sound special. It lets people know that they're not an "everybody", like is as with the name "Amanda" or "Hailey", which everyone has. I am going to have a son, and I was thinking of naming him Preston, Jed, Wesley, or maybe Blake, since it seems to be coming less popular.

I had chosen a name for my son when i was 11, which was when i first heard it. My class was studying Greek mythology, and i thought the name was so powerful and strong. My husband thought it was too unusual, and insisted he would get made fun of. A week before i gave birth my husband was looking online and saw the name we ended up choosing. I loved it, and no one we know has that name, which is what we wanted. We ended up using the name i love as his middle name. It rolls together and suits well with our last name which has a lot of consonants.

I like unusual names
I do not names spelled wrong or backward
We choose the name of our child, because we both like the name, It went with Elizabeth (the middle, after my mom) and most important, it went with our really bad last name

Well, my kids names are Isabella Leigh, Sophia Elizabeth, and Hunter Cole. My sisters kids names are Willow(girl) and Venus(boy). She chose willow because those are her parents names combined. (wilma and owen) and she chose venus because she had a son name Bryan that got killed and Bryan loved space and planets so the name Venus is in honor of Bryan.

My daughters name is Sage. I thought it was beautiful. It means a person that is extremely wise. We thought naming a girl that's meaning was tied to intelligence rather than looks was important. She has lived up to her name she is a very empathetic old soul.

My son's name is Kai Mana. Kai sounds familiar, like Kyle, but it's different. It means "ocean" in hawaiian and japanese, and "willow" in navajo.
I didn't want my son to have a common name, but not too much of a "weird" name.
