I ran your infornation through a children's BMI calculator, and it says that yes...this child is overweight. Here's the link if you want to check it with more detailed information. Be careful when you judge though. Her doctor is the one to tell you accurately.

That's not really an accurate way to measure. My 44" inch daughter is 4, and weighs 42 lbs. She is not underweight, but she's in the bottom 50%. She is also extremely willowy (thin) and has a high metabolism. How is your daughter built? Does she have rolls of skin? Do you have problems finding clothes for her? She's in the top 90% for weight at that age and height, but has she always been in that weight bracket?

My son is 48 in. and 60 pounds and he is 6. He is solid no fat whatsoever. I don't think so. She sounds like she is precious. Don't worry. She is fine.

I'm 11 and I'm only 76 POUNDS! So I think she weighs to much.

yes...5yr old and 62 LBS is to much...take her to the Dr.
