It's not a yes or no answer. It depends. Are they removing one testicle or two? Will chemotherapy be involved? Does he currently have fertility issues??

A man can still get an erection and be fertile with one testicle. Chemotherapy, while you are on it, can cause infertility. Some people have a permanent low sperm count after chemo, but many patients fully recover.

Before starting treatment your partner should have a frank discussion with his doctor about his fertility. If there's a chance that he may be left sterile, he may want to consider banking his sperm for future pregnancies. They can use his frozen sperm for artificial insemination on his partner.

The answer to your question depends on his age, stage of cancer, and course of treatment. If he's young, the cancer was caught early, and he is left with one testicle, chances are good he will be fertile after treatment is completed.

Good luck.

Your partner will be able to impregnate you so long as he has active, healthy sperm.

Unless the cancer or the treatment for it makes him unable to produce sperm (or makes his sperm inviable), you can still effectively conceive.
