alright, I don't want everyone to think this is myself were talking about, I know who my babys dad is, but I do want to ask for my friend. she slept with my hubbys friend while she was broke up with her b/f. and then she got back together w/ her b/f, and now she's pregnant. so theres like a 2 week span there between the 2 guys she was with, and she or her doc can't really tell who the dad would be. she don't know when she should have the blood testing done. when do they usually do that, and how long do the results take to come back.. I feel sorry for her, cause she already has a 2 year old, and she's only 19! I'm trying to help her as much as I can, she really don't have family that are there for her to talk to. just trying to be a good friend for her. she's 33 weeks, and I personally think she should start to get things organized and ready for this to be done. any advice for her, other than keep her pants on! I already told her that

I'm sure some of you might say it's none of my business, but I'm really trying to be a good friend, she don't have much support about this. and she's too ditzy to ask her doc, or proffetionals about when the testing should be done. for christs sake!, it seems like she don't follow her pregnancy very closly, half the time she don' t even remember how far a long she is. I know she's obviosly irrisponsible, but If she's going to be part of my life as a friend I want to do everything "I" can possibly to do help her and her baby.

She could swab the baby and one of the men the day the baby is born. If you send the samples back right away, you can get the results within 5 days.
Most kits costs $99.00 (plus tax)

lol! Well, she DOES need to keep her pants on! But, yes, she's got a hard road ahead of her, and needs all the support she can get. She's lucky to have a friend like you. She can get a DNA test as soon as the baby is born, but if the two men don't wnat to test then she may have to go to court to get it done. Tell her i wish her luck, and maybe she needs to take soem time off from men and focus on her 2 kids for a few years.

give your friend a hug for me....as far as testing, i too would have it done right away. it's going to need done anyway, so she can know about any family conditions and such. might as well get it done and over with now when he/she wont even know about it. the test can be done on the delivery day, the sample may have to be sent out, i only know of a few hospitals that have paternity testing clinics...two in fact. in anycase, it usually takes about three weeks for them to get back if they have to send them out...im not sure how long if its done on site, havent known anyone who's been in that situation before. best of luck to you all.

She can have testing done as soon as the baby is born. The only question is if the guys will go voluntarily or if she will have to take them to court.

They can have dna tests done as soon as the baby is born...call your local hospital and ask where it is done. All tehy do is cheek swabs of the baby, the mother and any prospective fathers.

they can do it after you give birth. Some can do it while the baby is still unborn but there has to be a good reason like genetic problems and stuff.
