My daughter was a preemie and she is 13 months old now and has been on milk for about a month and half. I am worried she is not getting enough vitamins b/c she is now a very picky eater she doesn't like veggies. So I am wondering if I should give her this stage 2 formula or if it is just a way for the companies to make more money.

I am having these slight cramps that come in little waves ( on a scale of 1-10 they are about a 3, 4 at the max) Is this normal! To all the 5-6-7 weekers what are you dealing with? I am worried because I miscarried last year. I went to doc and got my levels checked....progesterone is 47.5(I am on prometrium) and my HCG was 1605...I am going back today and HCG should double...pray for me that everything is o.k.

We have 3 dogs and they are great! They are all under 2 yrs old though so are still very hyper and playful. How did you train your dog to be calm around the baby. We already made the nursery off limits so they don't go in there, and we are trying to find TV shows that have babies crying in them so they will be used to the sound. We don't know anyone else with babies right now.

My baby's birthday is coming up, and her grandpa would like to buy her some books to last her for the next couple of years.
What were your favorite books (with authors, if possible)??
Does anyone know of any neat nursling or tandem nursing books?

i am 4 months pregnant and i am still wearing high heeled shoes. this is not my first pregnancy,in previous pregnancies i have always avoided high heeled shoes.but this time around i just feel like indulging myself and doing what i want to do with my life for once.is it okay to throw caution to the wind and continue wearing high heeled shoes.it"s not as if i wear them every day, maybe two or three times a week.is this okay ? or is it harmful to me or my unborn baby?.i want the best for my baby.

The URL above goes to an article discussing Kellog's agreement to meat certain guidelines and regulations concerning nutritional content and advertising for children's cereals. The agreed to meet these items as a way to avoid a lawsuit from two children's obesity awareness groups and two sets of parents in MA.

While I fully support the need for children's foods to be healthier and the need to control advertising geared towards young children, I find myself wondering why we feel that we can sue any company that is doing something we don't agree with. Obesity...childhood and otherwise..is a major problem in the US. Childhood obesity is shoothing through the roof and, yes, part of the problem comes from what our kids have available to eat. Yes, we parents can use all the help they can get in making healthy choices, so getting foods our kids like to be healthier isn't a bad idea. But the biggest issue for obesity isn't

I have a friend that is about 22 weeks pregnant, has had and ultrasound, and they said that she's only having one baby. But, she's convinced she's having twins. She says that when the baby is moving she can feel the baby moving in more than one spot and it feels like two in there fighting for room. She's already had one baby before and she says this pregnancy feels so much different from any other. She thinks she's carrying twins but the doctor says no...Do you think they could miss the second baby in the ultrasound?

I have a six month old son who has been sick (congested, runny nose). Today is his fathers day off from work. So I asked him if our son can stay home with him since he wasn't feeling well and opt out of having to take my sick child to daycare. His response was "He's(referring to our son) not driving me crazy and getting on my nerves all day." So I replied and said "you can't watch your son when he's sick". To make a long story short He said that if I left him home with him, we are not doing anything on fathers day.

So I reacted. I told him I was taking my son to daycare and he didn't deserve to be with us on Fathers Day.

I know someone who smoked the entire time they were pregnant and then when she had the baby, She made it a big deal to not smoke around the baby.
The baby sounds like a 90 yr old man that smoked his whole life.
Im I the only one who thinks this is kind of contridicting?

I'm a woman in her fifties and I'm raising two kids. Technically, I'm raising a young adult and a teenager. I know I shouldn't be having a problem with parenting at this age, nonetheless, I'm having trouble with my eldest especially. She's very stubborn and, oftentimes, does not do what I tell her to. Since I gave birth to the youngest, she has been independent of mind and has been rejecting most of my advice. Because of this, we often end up in fights which usually last for days.
Moreover, my daughter does not follow my orders and often shows me disrespect.

Take note: I'm an authoritative disciplinarian. I don't think that my parenting style works wonders on my eldest. Can you suggest anything that could fix my problem?
