Flying is in no way harmful to a newly pregnant woman. The only concerns you should have about flying are much later in pregnancy (third trimester) when there is a chance you could go into labor while traveling, and risk of blood clots.

No never. some females do no longer even know they're pregnant at 6 weeks ;) the toddler is smaller then a grain of rice and that i can assure you flying won't harm the toddler what so ever :) you could fly suitable into your third trimester in case you elect for - with medical clearance as quickly as you capture up with on your due date. Congrats on your being pregnant!

Nope! My Dr said it was Okay to Fly when I was 6 weeks...No Big deal and I flew at 14 weeks also...They only say not to fly after 36 weeks...Only because the chances of going into labor in the air...But if shes flying to another country I would take to a Dr about it!

If she is in her first trimester she should be perfectly fine. Just make sure that she does check with her doctor before traveling. There may be shots she may need before leaving the country. Her doctor will also give her any other advice she will need. But the furthur along she is, the more caution she should have. But no matter what she should talk to her doctor just to make sure she and the baby is healthy enough to fly. Because at any time her and the baby's condtion could change without her knowing. Just make sure she sees her doctor BEFORE leaving the country.

Nope, she'll be just fine.
A lot of airports require a doctors note saying that it's okay for the person to fly after she starts her third trimester but anytime before that she'll be fine!

She could get sucked into the engine. That's probably about the only way she'd get hurt...unless the plane crashed or there was a funny bear/man/clown/gremlin thing on the wing trying to kill everyone. But no, she should be perfectly fine.

congrats !
Nope flying won't hurt the baby.. Flying is not recommended later on in pregnancy because if she goes into labor medical assistance isn't always available at 20,000 feet

Let me get this straight: You are asking medical questions regarding your grandchild from a bunch of strangers on the Internet.
How much effort would it take....
Now here, I must interrupt myself since I suddenly understood who I was talking to.
Does she have a doctor?
How much effort would it take to call her doctor and ask that question? Just leave him a message. That's what you are paying him for.
