Pregnancy & Parenting - 15 June 2007

i am Extremely uncomfortable iv tried pillows squatting and much more iv been having contractions through out the day nothing huge tho I'm 39 weeks pregnant i lost my mucus plug on Monday i was 3cm dilated as of Wednesday. iv been having headaches the baby hasn't been moving as much but still is. there is a tightness in my inner thigh and my stomach i have lower back pain.i was also the same yesterday but not as bad. are these early signs of labor. Any ideas on how to get some comfort?

I have a friend who has diagnosed long time ago to be both borderline personality and bipolar. Now she's pregnant, would the government give her child away? I'm 4 mos pregnant and people can be so freaking cruel on here. Why should I care what people say. I posted a question about eating right earlier and having a budget of 88.00 food stamps, ofcourse I put some cash in too. I feel like I'm a bad mother already, and people say that if you dont eat enough of this than the baby will have problems with teeth and bone structure etc. Are people getting ahead of themselves? People say how can u be a mother and take care of your child, I will never neglect or hurt my baby and it pisses me off when certain people or b!tches say really mean stuff. half of this is the hormones. Thanks for listening. I will admit that I'm on SSI, its because I have a slight disability, it wont keep me from being a great mom. I'm on food stamps, and I called wic for an application today. Besides, theres something called a baby shower. I have lots of friends and loved ones, family to support me. Anyone else have problems like this? Thank you, Mommy to be

I have lost control of all 5 boys. From the minute they were born I became a push over and let them walk all over me. I was always scared to discipline them and I still am.

i usually get up 7 hours after i fall asleep the first time. im getting up 2 or 3 times though. anyhow im off tomorrow and i am wondering how long to sleep in. you know how they say a kid needs 10 hours, the average adult needs 6-8 hours, babies need 14 or so (just guessing on these by the way)
how much sleep should a pregnant woman in her 3rd trimester strive for?

i had sex with my boyfriend on the 18th may we are trying for a baby so it was unprotected,,exactly a week later on friday 25th i ended up having a one night stand with an old frend, that to was unprotected ..on monday 28th i had the emergency contraception it had been approx 60hrs in between sex and me takin the pill. my period was due on the 5th june and yet i still have not had a period and its the 16th june.the nurse sed if i hadnt had a period in three weeks to go bk an hav a pregnancy test,,did she mean three weeks from takin the pill?? or three weeks from my period date due ?? are the chances if i was pregnant that it wud be my boyfrends? or is there a fifty fifty chance ? as the nurse told me that when u take the pill it dus not harm the baby if i was already pregnant an i slept with my boyfrend a week before i took the pill? i know wot u must be thinkin but believe me i dnt need the lectures of how rong it is as i already no and its eatin me away

Hubby and I have a 7wk old daughter and our anniversary is approaching. We haven't had a whole lot of quality time together since baby has been born (obviously) because she is the centre of everything. For our anniversary hubby would like to go out for a long leisurely night and spend the entire night away from baby. My mum would look after our daughter for the night while we "spent quality time together".

I've been separated from her for a few hours here and there with my mum as babysitter while i ran errands etc but never overnight! My mum and hubby think its a great idea - but i'm hesitant about leaving my daughter overnight. Not that i don't trust my mum but i've never really been apart from her in the whole 7wks - and shes my baby girl! I know the outing would do hubby and i a world of good but ... well shes so young and so little and i just don't know how i would cope not seeing her all night!

Thoughts anyone? Anyone else have the same misgivings? How did you go?

I'm just starting to learn to track my CM and use OPK's and everything - kind of confused.

My husband and I have had all sorts of sex lately and yesterday I had what appeared to be the absolute definition of stringy strechy CM...it was see-through and it did not break between my fingers when stretched, today it was similar except it did break (I also had lower abd pain yesterday and today).

If I am understanding what I've read correctly, THAT is the super fertile good CM you want, right? We tried the night before (13th) so I thought maybe we hit the jackpot, but I took an OPK and it came out negative? (he's now out of town - no trying for a week)

What does that mean? Could that "CM" actually have been old sperm from the NIGHT BEFORE (what about today)? I don't really know how long it takes to leave your body or what it looks like. I tested (OPK) yesterday afternoon around 5:30, I'd had nothing to eat or drink the previous 4 hours, it was negative again today.

What do you all think?
