my 14 month old son has gotten these pimple/mosquito like bumps behind/on his ears, one on the back of his head, and multiple ones on he back of his neck. They started out just 2 behind one ear and over the last 2-3 days have spread over his neck and other ear. I thought chicken pox, but they aren't spreading elsewhere and he's not running a fever or anything like that. I've had a few people with older kids take a gander and they say they have no idea. There are 10 little red bumps total with little clear tops. I've looked up every skin problem under the sun both online and in books, but I still have no clue what it is! We haven't used anything new on him as far as shampoo, soap or laundry soap goes and he hasn't been on any new meds that could break him out. What could it be?

I am 6 months along and my baby still has no name. I know that some people dont have names until the very end, but I want to start calling her by it. My fiance always talks to her and says "hey baby", "what are you doing in there baby" and I just feel she should have her name by now.
I was thinking Kennedy Nicole, but Kennedy means "ugly head" haha and I feel bad..
I dont really like girly names either.
I wanted a 3 syllable first name that goes with Nicole as the middle name. Im being picky, but it is my baby and its hard to find something that you are going to call them for the rest of their lives.
Any ideas?

Am I feeding her too much? Does she need to lose weight? I'm not going to put her on a diet or deprive her or anything crazy, so don't give me crazy mean answers.

Everytime I hear about someone having a "breech" baby these days, they are all getting scheduled for inductions. However, my boyfriend's mother delivered both of her sons (my boyfriend and his brother) breech. In fact, my boyfriend was frank breech when he came out (That's butt first and then feet, not feet first). Why are they insisting these days that all breech babies must come out by c-section and back a few years ago, they just delivered them and they turned out fine?

I bet this is pretty common question between husbands and wives. I say this because men tend to frequent the doctor less than women. (I am a male and I do not frequent it unless I have to.)

My question is about our 3 year old. The doctor claims she needs a checkup in two weeks, and that she needs one every three months. She was just at the doctor a couple weeks ago for a post scarlett-fever checkup, and she was fine. She is a healthy girl. They weight and measure her each time she goes.

I think this "recommended check-up" is just to make money. My wife says I'm not a doctor, so how do I know. I am a human and have common sense. I dont remember going to the doctor that often as a kid, and dont feel she needs a check up right now.

Does she need it? How often do you take your kids?

I am just starting to put together a registry list for my baby. I was at a baby shower a month ago and it seemed EVERYONE bought tiny outfits that weren't on her registry. She had way too many clothes. If you have had a baby or shower did this happen to you?

A family member is considering marriage where a child from a previous relationship is involved. They live in California and would like to have an adoption plan in place before the marriage. We have received conflictng information about the process. We just need to know if it is true that the biological dad must give up parental rights first or if the couple must be married a year and then attempt adoption. The little advice that has been given suggest that since bio dad hasn't come to see his son and has not sent child support (or even bothered to show at the hearings) that there's a good case for abandonment. Any new info would be helpful especially from those who have been there! Thanks.

Last week it was confirmed that my baby is a complete breech, sitting "yoga" style. The OB recommended a version, which I declined. I'm expecting to have a c-section, unless she flips on her own. My concern is when do I call or go to the hospital when I have a breech baby? I asked my OB's office this and they had me come in to see if I was having any contractions after loosing my mucous plug. They said I was still having irregular contractions and would only admit me if I had dilated more ( I am currently 1cm dilated). I hadn't dilated anymore so they sent me home and said to call if I am having 4 contractions an hour. I feel tightness, but nothing painful, quite frequently. Can anyone give me more advice??

I have 6 month old twins. 1 boy and 1 girl. the boy chows down solid foods and drinks bottles like a champ, but the girl clamps down her mouth, and refuses to eat unless its her bottle. The doctors aren't too concerned yet, her growth and development are great, but she is missing out on a lot of food experiences and if she keeps this up, I'm afraid there will be problems not far down the road. Does anyone have any ideas on how to entice my little girl to eat from a spoon?

we have changed his shampoo to a very mild brand. We feel that he is not under any stress. We even stopped giving him fresh-crushed carrot juice as we read that too much carrot may cause hair loss.

If we have a boy we want the middle name to be a combo of two family members Ken and Lee, we were thinking Kenlee but I was wondering if there could be a different spelling. The current one in my opinon is sort of feminine. Thanks

Hi, as the title says I'm getting lots of pressure in the top of my stomach - it's the very top part, and it doesn't happen all the time, but I've been getting it for about the past 3 hours on and off. Also less frequently earlier on today. No pain, it's just very uncomfortable and feels like that part of my stomach is going hard (although I don't think they're Braxton Hicks as when I put my hand on my tummy, I can't feel the muscles contracting or anything). It happens most when I'm sitting down but slouching slightly, although I'm sitting up dead straight now and can still feel it. I can feel some tiny kicks lower down as well, so I know baby's ok :-) I'm not worried, it's just annoying and uncomfortable, because it makes me a bit breathless sometimes too. Sounds horrible, but I've also been getting feelings like my stomach muscles were separating or soemthing! A real 'pulling' sensation that was mostly in the side of my stomach. It didn't hurt but was strong enough to make me wince.

My husband and I are attending a wedding out of town, if we leave our Daughter behind I will be away from her for 4 days!!
We can bring her with us, but I would like to know your opinion if 4 days is too long for the baby.
Thanks

I'm 14 weeks pregnant and I found out only 2 weeks ago. When I found out I stopped drinking diet coke, but it's really taking a toll on me. I really want to have one. Is it ok in moderation, or should I really push on and not touch it?

Our second child is due on Halloween, and we just found out that we're having a boy! We haven't begun to think of names.

Some things that may help you come up with a name: Our 18-month old daughter is Kendall and our last name is Kastner. This little baby boy will likely grow up to be a tall (I'm 5'11" and my husband is 6' 5") and will be blond-haired and have light eyes just like his mom, dad and his big sister. We don't like names that are too unusual, too trendy, or too common, and don't care for alternate spellings.

Can you give us some ideas? Thanks so much!!
