Last week it was confirmed that my baby is a complete breech, sitting "yoga" style. The OB recommended a version, which I declined. I'm expecting to have a c-section, unless she flips on her own. My concern is when do I call or go to the hospital when I have a breech baby? I asked my OB's office this and they had me come in to see if I was having any contractions after loosing my mucous plug. They said I was still having irregular contractions and would only admit me if I had dilated more ( I am currently 1cm dilated). I hadn't dilated anymore so they sent me home and said to call if I am having 4 contractions an hour. I feel tightness, but nothing painful, quite frequently. Can anyone give me more advice??

The tightness could be contractions. If you feel it 4 times in an hour go in like your doctor said. Most people will tell you that you will know when you are in labor, but sometimes you don't. I didn't notice my contractions until I was hooked up to a monitor and then I realized that the occasional tightness I felt was contractions. They weren't really painful until the very end of my labor, which was short for me both times. Congrats on the new baby and good luck with the delivery.

My little one was breech on a Tuesday, I elected to have Version the following Tuesday. I was strapped to the monitors, than the dr came in to do final ultrasound, she had flipped over the week. The doctor said its not uncommon for the baby to flip at the last minute. Follow the standard rule of thumb for any labor breech or not. I know its easier said than done, you might as well be comfortable at home than strapped to moniters in hospital.

my youngster used to be head down all this time earlier than, however at 34 wks she flipped and is now breech. Your document can attempt to a do a "variation" in the direction of the tip of the being pregnant to get the youngster again head down. Ultimately if that doesnt paintings, its C Section for certain.

That doesn't make any sense. If your baby is breech you should have a scheduled C-section by now and your dilated. Who is your doctor? I would call the ER, and you said you were breech. What do you mean by when you have a breech baby?

You could try to turn the baby yourself (like massageing) by putting your hand on your belly at her butt and push a little and rotate your hands as your massageing your tummy. go clockwise like this several times and it should get her to turn. i had to do this with my baby. it does hurt a little but it gets the baby a general idea that she should be turning. how far along are you? if your about due than the dr. should be doing a c-section now or he is waiting to see if you go into labor on your own and to also see if the baby is turning on her own. sometimes labor can get the baby to turn on your own. but doing what i said the massage like turn helped for me. hope it helps for you. good luck.

when your water breaks or your contractions are 5 minutes apart. A c-section doesn't take a lot of prep time. Make sure you've pre-admitted yourself to make check-in easier.

A breech baby CAN be delivered vaginally.
