And would you name your boy Sue, then? Stevie or Quincy are not bad names for a girl, but be sure that you'd want your girl, once grown up, to also fit with those names. Stevie can be cute as a kid, but possibly annoying as an adult name. A doctor named Stevie, ugh. A musician, ok. But you wouldn't want your kid to have to fight with her name as she's growing up. Quincy just might leave the kid wanting a more feminine name too or wondering if you really wanted a boy instead, so that's why she was named with more of a boy type name. I don't know about this trend to androgeny, where the sexual identification is side-stepped or confused. Why deny the fact the child is a girl or a boy by their name? I don't get it! A boy should be celebrated by his name as should a girl. I'd rather pick a name, like say Maxine for a girl that could also be shortened to Max, for that androgenous thing. And the child could then choose for herself, as time goes on, what name she wants to identify herself with. Name her Steffany, and call her Stevie for short, but let your kid have a choice in the end! Good luck!

I am sort of partial to Stevie, because of the wonderful Stevie Nicks. So, I do like it. I'd prefer it more as a nickname, though. Maybe Stephanie or Stevana with the nickname Stevie.

I don't really like Quincy on a girl, but I don't mind Quinn!

uh uh i dont think so. if u want to give her a name that are usually boys names she is going to be teased all her life. not only in preschool/kindergarten but even in high school. ppl are shallow like that. they wont like u just cause u have a weird name. well its the real world. so if u want a name that is kinda boyish try names that are unique or that can boy names or girl names such as

dasia
aphordites
samantha (sam for short)
martina (marti for short)
shane
shannon (can also be a boys name)
sasha

but if u really insist i like stevie. quincy is way too manish.

Stevie is okay but not Quincy. Thats b/c I know guys that names are Quincy. Sounds kinda tomboyish. I like really exotic girly names like Milani or Milana. In the end its whatever floats your boat.

I like both of these but especially Stevie for a girl. With names that some people would normally only use for a boys name you may just want to be mindful of the middle name.

I love stevie. I think it is the cutest name. I don't like quincy too much because it makes me think of an older person but it's all about what you want. Good luck

Don't give her a boys name. My mom has a "boys" name and she has had trouble with it her whole life. If you like Stevie - name her Stephanie and she can have Stevie as a nickname. I like Quinn instead of Quincy.

Stevie's okay. But if you want guys name for a girl go with 'Charlee', 'Elliot', or another name. Quincy and Stevie are just not good names for little girls. But if I HAD to pick, it'd be Stevie. Quincy's murder.
