I had to leave him and moved to a new town. My family doesn't support me and I have only made a few friends here so far. I am going to get one friend to watch my daughter and I want to drive to the hospital so I can drive back home (it is in the city, the hospital from my house is about 20 25 minutes). With my daughter I was in labour 7 hours and that was induced...

I have a 9 year old daughter. I am struggling with her listening and following instructions and thinking for herself. Every single morning, I have to tell her 50 times all the things she needs to do. Sucha as brush teeth, dry her hair, put on deoderant, make her lunch etc. She does not stay on track, and we have a struggle every single morning. I am so tired of the struggle. I need some ideas on how to deal with this and how to diminish our morning frusterations. We get up 2 hours before school starts, so she has plenty of time. She just can't seem to stay focused.

Any help and or advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Just wondering if anyone knows from personal experience, others experiences or statistics if there is any correlation between being induced and the need for a c-section. i know what causes doctors to want to do a cessarian (prolonged labor, breech, etc) but does induction have ANY correlation to a c-section???

my daughter woke up this morning wiht a couple blotchy rashes all over her body and on her face it looks like theres a welt mark. We have been fighting fleas due to our neighbor letting her cat out and our doors being drafty but they dont look like bites, i mean she has a couple bites but its more like a rash. The only thing i can think of that would cause it would be i made chicken with garlic powder last night, could that cause an alergic reaction?

I am 19 weeks pregnant and for the past two weeks, it seems like I can't get enough food. For the first 3-1/2 months of my pregnancy, I barely had an appetite. Now, I start drooling at the thought of food. I knew that my appetite would increase, but this is outrageous!! The good thing is, I only eat healthy foods....no junk whatsoever. Has anyone else gone on this binge eating escapade during their pregnancy? I guess I just feel like a pig and need peace of mind. ;)

Why when someone asks a question are people so rude? I ask about MY symptoms and someone says I should know what they mean because I have had 3 kids before. Sorry if I don't. I know I need to talk to my doctor why would you tell me that when I put it in my question??? Also.. why would you ask if I am pregnant if that is also in my question? Can we not just help people and keep our opinions about their questions to ourselves? Or is this a make someone feel bad for being curious and not wanting to call their doctor over everything site?? Come on now. Anyone disagree or agree???

I'm 40 weeks and 2 days. I am SOOO uncomfortable.. i don't remember it being this bad with my first pregnancy! I don't get hardly any sleep- and usually i try to catch up during the day while daughter is at school and dh is at work- but we've had bad storms- so school has been out all week = i get no sleep. I'm so irratable and grumpy. How do you all deal with it? I need some suggestions- I don't want to be this way! My mom also said that i'm probably noticing contractions and stuff a lot more- and after a few weeks of constant pains and stuff- you get very irritable.
Also- baby dropped a few weeks ago- but since 2 days ago i feel even more pressure down there- it's so bad i can barely walk or stand up and i notice my contractions are stronger- although nothing regular. Did she just drop down more? Does it mean labor COULD be soon? I went to 42 weeks with my first- and am prepared to go that long with this one- but just curious!

I have been using the YaHoo! Health Pregnancy Calendar on my yahoo page. When I enter my cycle duration as 28 days, why does it tell me to take a preg test on day 23 to test the level of HCG? Shouldn't I wait until day 28? I'm confused. Help! Thanks :)

Our children are 11,6, and unborn; my husband and I are both in our 30's.
We tried for 19 months to have baby #3, fertility treatments and all. I'm finally 5 weeks pregnant, Praise the Lord!

The problem is this... when I was pregnant with my son 6 years ago, my mother ruined my baby shower and really made us miserable with the way she acted towards my husband because they'd had an argument when I was in my first trimester. So do I tell her I'm pregnant, or wait until I absolutely can't hide it any longer? She lives 30 miles away and I pick her up several times a month to go shopping, but we don't HAVE to see her that often. Should we share the Joy of this new life with her NOW, or make her wait????

I know we need to have some "me" time. I work, take care of my daughter afterwards, but other than that I don't really do anything besides visit with family. I don't do anything as far as interests or hobbies, although am feeling like I should be. I feel bad enough being at work all day, let alone going anywhere soley for myself without including her. How do you manage to work full time, spend enough quality time with your child(ren), and still pursue any of your own interests?

Shocking.
Nothing to say about adoption or foster care? My questions went largely ignored. How sad is that?
Wouldn't you agree? You jump on every opportunity possible to speak out soooooo vehemently about abortion. Don't you find it interesting that so many do, and there were SO few responses about adoption or foster care?
Come on! What are your thoughts on this? And STICK TO THE ISSUE: these kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
