6 months pregnant?

my doctor that did my ultrasound said that he was 80% sure we are having a girl. How accurate do you think 80% is? Im just worried im getting all girls stuff. and when the baby is born. Its a boy. not a girl. which will be fine. JUst will suck beings we have all girl stuff and not boy. what do you think?

the doc seen the baby from bottom up ( at the time of the ultrasound she was laying funny) but said that the only thing he saw was the umbilicon cord. I asked my doc if I should get the gender 3-D scan to be sure and he pretty much said that it was a waste of money. This doc did his wife ultrasounds and was 80% sure they were having girls too. I was just curious to rather or not other moms had this problem?? Or if anyone know of someone having this problem

I think you're having a girl. When they say you're having a girl, it's because nothing is down there. If they say you're having a boy, it's because something is down there, but it could also be fingers, umbillical cord, etc. So most generally when they say girl, it ends up being a girl. I've never met someone who was told they were having a girl and ended up having a boy. But I've met a few people who were told they were having boys and ended up having girls. The doctor told my mom her last child was going to be a boy, 80% sure. I now have a 12 year old sister. So Good Luck and enjoy your little girl.

If it was a 3D/4D ultrasound, the chances of error are very slim. If you had the regular 2D ultrasound, then there's still the 20%, but if your doctor is pretty sure, then I'm assuming it's a girl. You should just buy neutral colors of wait until the last few weeks of your pregnancy to buy girl things. That way you'll have the receipts handy and can also return the items within the usual 30 day time frame. Good luck!

My sister was told they were 100 % sure it was a girl even tho my brother in law said he saw a penis but the doctor said he was positive it was a girl the delivery room was full of its a girl ballons and out came a big baby boy it turned out his umbilicol cord was was blocking his genitals just enough that the doctor was sure it was a girl but since then my sisters last 2 children were sexed correctly but to be safe buy yellows, greens and whites and if you want buy a few girl things just save your reciepts. I started buying unisex clothing until I go for my ultra sound next week but if the doctor can get a complete clear veiw of the genital area i would be safe.Congrats and good luck

im just over 6 months - 6 and a half to be exact

at the scan the sonographer said 90% gal

but im buying neutral colours - beige, cream, green, yellow and white

however if you do like something pink just double check on the returns policy of the store - keep the reciepts and tags - and if its not a gal take it back and get a refund or an exchange

well i my mom and i am sure a lot people think the same way.. it's bad luck to buy anything for the baby before its born.
if you really want to know then see if he can do another ultrasound...
But my friend thought she was having a girl wound up having a boy...

with my sister they told her she was having a girl she wound up having a boy so you can always request another ultrasound month down the line... until then buy neutral things like I'm doing.

i buy baby green... if it is a girl then she will look good in green, if its a boy, he will look good in green.... or maybe get another ultrasound a little later in the pregnancy.... my hubby always wants to double check....good luck...
