i am the only teen who is not allowed to watch tv at all?
even though we have like 7 tvs in the house

Are you the only teen in your house that is not allowed to watch tv? If so that is wrong to single you out but hey it could be for a reason. Maybe your parents see potential in you to excel in other areas of interest. Tv is not all that when I decide I'm going to watch TV all I ever end up doing is channel surfing, that all you pay for. You'll thank them later just pick up a book, or doing something creative. I personally wish I didn't start the whole TV habit with my kids but I've definently cut down alot on the cartoon time. I cut the TV off and make them either read a book, we'll play a game togeher, draw, write, just something else creative. That's what's wrong with kids now there so stuck on these electronics and don't even know hot to hoola hoop, jump rope, skate, or ride a bike. Those were the things I did when I was younger. USE YOUR IMAGINATION!

i don't agree with your parents not allowing you too use the computer . learning the computer skills is vital to being part of the working world.
as far as the TV goes well your not really missing out on that much its all crap. another thing is that my brother had his kids all go off to university and they all did well engineers and doctors what he did was just not get cable and he owned a crap TV so watching it was just not that fun . i think they read much more because of this they were however the product of a him a teacher and a minister and her a teacher too so it all could be down to Gene's i am inclined to think it is .
why on earth do you have TV in the house and you cant watch it whats up with that . if you were a Mennonite or something no TV makes sense but your home sounds crazy .

TV is overrated anyways. Granted that it is a bit unfair that you have so many tvs and can't watch, but there are many fun things to do instead of watch tv. Go hang out with friends, Start a scrapbook, Start drawing (even if you think you can't, all it takes is practice), or get a job and make money so you can go out with your friends. Plus do you really want to waste time on mind numbing television? All that's ever on is Reality shows lately, and those are just ridiculously dumb lol.

Your not the only teen that is not allowed to watch TV. Many don't have TV's at all.
You know what happens when you don't get to watch tv? You end up smarter then those who do watch tv.....

Although there is no need to have 7 tvs in one house, (in my opinion) there are alot of other worse things that you would not be able to do, like not eat when you want to, or not have any clothes to wear, or not have a roof over your head. Not being able to watch tv isnt anything to complain about. Read a book or magazine. FInd a hobbie that you may like to do. Be creative.

TVs not that great the only shows i watch are the tonight show with jay Leno, and the late night with Conan o Brian,

That seems a little hypocritical.
If you had no TVs in the house then I could see your parents reasoning, but that is just unfair.

it doesn't matter... there are plenty of other things to do. read a magazine. go on the computer. do something else... it's not a big deal. I have a tv and i never watch it.

try to talk to them and find a middle way. Promise you'll help them with the cleaning or something like that, and negociate your way back to the TV, if you really care that much about it. If not, try reading something, playing sports or having nice hobbies ;)
