We have a 10 year old that is the middle child. She has an attitude and mouth on her of a child that should be much older. If you tell her something she always has a response and never listens to what you are telling her. It is getting out of hand and I dread doing things with her due to this. I should mention she is a step-child to me. Her father and I recently got married but we have been together for 3 years. He just ignores it and I can't. What do I do?

I take my 20 month old daughter to work with me 6 days a week. She has behind the counter and the entire back room to explore but she likes to stay by my side...which I have no problem with. What I need is lots and lots of ideas that I can do with her. I already read, play with stickers, draw/color, which I will continue to do with her but she seems like she is getting too used to the same patterns. So any ideas I will take. If you know of things I can get at Micheals (the craft store) plz tell me. I work here 6 days a week 7 hours a day so I really need lots of stuff. Don't forget she is only 20 months old but definitly acts like she is already 2. Thanks for the help.

my period started the night of Jan. 22, that same day my bf and i had unprotected sex (I KNOW ITS VERY WRONG, THANK YOU) and i think he precame in me a little. I'm not late because i don't even expect it to come til around the 21st but if I was pregnant I would be in my second week. Lately, I've been very irritable, tired, kinda experincing some nausea but not really. If I'm only two weeks pregnant, what should I be feeling, if anything at all? Also, I've been VERY stressed out and if I am pregnant I want to know as soon as possible because I know stress can harm the baby. Is two weeks to early to tell?

Do you use a dry brush?
Do you use something like baking powder, peroxide or salt?
Do you use a commercial toothpaste? If so which one?
Are you concerned about any of the ingredients such as colour, sweetners, flavour?
Are there any active ingredients you think work best?
How old was your child when you started using toothpaste?
How many times a day do you brush your child's teeth? How old are they?

*lol* Anything else you want to share?

Just trying to get some info to make some decisions.

Thanks!

I'm told by "others" that I'm "so young" ,to have three kids.?
I was officially a Momma of three just two days shy of my 23rd birthday.
I can think of more than a dozen women I know who had 3 and 4 kids YOUNGER than I was. So if you don't mind? Just how old were you with your third?just curious....

So, I am seven weeks and really sick.

I have morning sickness and am always exhausted and hormonal.

At work people ask what is wrong with me.

I do not want anyone to know until the middle of May because that is when I am done my probation (govt job).

I know they cannot fire me because I am pregnant but they might find an excuse not to pass my probation.

Any advice. I am a terrible liar and really excited abou this baby.

My son is 2 1/2 years old and I am very concerned over his behavior. When he doesn't get his way he tends to bite his finger or hits himself in the head. Sometimes he'll hit his hand on the wall. Is this normal? This is my first child and I don't know what to do. Please Help.

His school offers a 8 week after school drawing program that I don't mind paying 87.00 for him to attend. He has not expressed any interest in the program because none of his friends are in the drawing class. He wants me to instead pay for him to go to the chess club because his friends go to the chess club. What should I do? I think I see some hidden talent but is it mean to make him go even if he doesn't want to? I figured he's too young to see the big picture and maybe he will thank me later.

I am now in my 8th week of pregnancy and last Friday I had my first ultrasound. In the ultrsound the baby measured normal size and we saw the heartbeat, the technician doing the ultrasound also said the heart was at 125. In reading many of my pregnancy books I have seen that some say that once a heartbeat is seen on the ultrsound the risk of miscarriage is less than 2%. Is this a true fact. I am 24, no bleeding and normal pregnancy so far. Just wondering what everyone else knows about this?

I am almost four months pregnant. I'm just wondering when you usually start to feel your baby move? I have been pregnant before, but I don't remember exactly when she started moving.

My sisters and my mom are throwing me my baby shower, but I've been involved. I wanted it that way so that I could have the babyshower I've always wanted. I didn't have too many chances to choose anything for my wedding, thanks to my overly involved MIL. Once I told my MIL the date of the shower she was totally shocked that I knew anything about it. She said that the mother to be is not supposed to be involved and it is supposed to be a surprise to me and now my shower is ruined. I explained to her that I wanted to be involved, but she still insists that she could have done it the "right way". My question is, Is this a tradition that I'm just not aware of? Should my shower have been a surprise to me?

death of hypothermia? If you haven't read the story...a 23 yr. old guy got upset about his 2 yr old daughter being up and playing during the night and hit her when she would not go back to bed, knocking her out. He then wrapped her in a blanket and put her outside. They found her two days later...after following her "little" footprints in the snow. What would you do to this guy? It pisses me off that so many children become victims of "parents" who have no business having kids.

Well I just read all your comments, thank you for them. The thing is that I told the doctor that and he said it is fine, but it really worries me because it hurts not really bad but it is pain. I did an ultrasound but the doctor told me is too early to see anything but he said it looks like it is ok. plus he told me that the hormons are high and an ectopic pregnancy does not get that hight. So is it, is it not ok to have pain in just one side of my belly everyday

I see so many people ask "What do you think of (insert any and all names here)?" Does it honestly matter? If someone on Y!A comes on and says "That name is horrible, your child will grow up wanting to smother you in your sleep," are you really going to change it if it's something you really like? Or if you like it, but say your parents don't, or your grandmother doesn't, does the postive feedback of people you'll never meet make you feel better? What about the abusive comments? Wouldn't you rather just roll your eyes at Grandma complaining than get chewed out by strangers for what they perceive to be a dumb name?

I guess I just don't get it. My husband and I picked out names for our baby and said, "This is it." Our parents like the name we have for our daughter, good for them. My extended family is more on the side of "Alrighty then," and my opinion on that is "Too bad for you, it's my kid."

To all who ask: Name your child what YOU want--it's YOUR child.

My daughter is 14 months old i am a stay at home mom I spend all day with my daughter except when she takes naps which is when i clean house and i have my "quiet time" When we go out if my daughter misbehaves i warn her and if she continues i pop her butt not hard at all but just to let her know she is being bad. My daughter's other grandma is constantly telling me i need to get a job and put her in daycare. I can't work because i am disabled i have myasthenia gravis and most days i am fine but some days i can't even get out of bed with having MG i have learned how to pick my daughter up without hurting her or without dropping her and how to do the little things like fixing her a peanut butter sandwich I had to learn how to do all that again. If i get a 9-5 job it would tire me out and i've been told by the Doctor that i would probably never work again. Her other g-ma is telling me i am a bad mom because of my disability and that i need to give my daughter up Why am i the bad mom?
