my period started the night of Jan. 22, that same day my bf and i had unprotected sex (I KNOW ITS VERY WRONG, THANK YOU) and i think he precame in me a little. I'm not late because i don't even expect it to come til around the 21st but if I was pregnant I would be in my second week. Lately, I've been very irritable, tired, kinda experincing some nausea but not really. If I'm only two weeks pregnant, what should I be feeling, if anything at all? Also, I've been VERY stressed out and if I am pregnant I want to know as soon as possible because I know stress can harm the baby. Is two weeks to early to tell?

Not only is two weeks too early to tell, but in most instances conception doesn't even (technically) occur until you're (roughly) two weeks pregnant.*

Is it possible to get pregnant when you have your period? Sure, we all know there's a risk of pregnancy anytime you have sex. But talk about unlikely! Unless you ovulated just a couple of days after your period started, you wouldn't have gotten pregnant from sex on the first day of bleeding.

Conception doesn't occur until you ovulate. While the text-book description of the menstrual cycle -- that the cycle is 28 days long and that ovulation occurs on day 14 -- is inapplicable to many, if not most, women, you can guess that you ovulate somewhere between 10 and 15 days before your next period. If you know when you're expecting your period, I'm guessing your cycles are regular and predictable. Granted, the timing of ovulation can be thrown off by things like stress or illness, but the typical manner of that happening is that ovulation is late in those instances, not early.

In other words: it sounds to me like you are about to ovulate or have recently ovulated. It doesn't sound at all like you're pregnant.

Pregnancy tests work by detecting levels of hcg (human chorionic gonodotrophin) in your system; your body beging to manufacture hcg after a fertilized egg (embryo) implants in your uterine lining. Implantation typically occurs between about 5 and 10 days after conception/fertilization. Before that happens, no test in the world can detect a pregnancy.

In other words -- yeah, it's too early. It's also exceedingly unlikely that you're pregnant. But I would abstain from sex right now, because it sure sounds like ovulation is near.

As to what a person "should" be feeling at two weeks pregnancy...well, if it's two weeks after conception, some women experience breast tenderness, heartburn, fatigue....in general the same types of things you associate with bleeding being about to start. (And many women feel none of these things at this point.)

Also, don't go giving stress undue credit. No, it's not good for pregnancy...or for life in general....but some stress in early pregnancy isn't going to hurt anyone.

(* The reason I say that conception doesn't occur until, in general, you're "two weeks pregnant" is because pregnancies are actually dated in relation to the last menstrual period. In other words, when a woman is, say, 8 weeks pregnant, that really means that conception occured somewhere on the order of 6 weeks previously, with the last menstrual period being what occurred roughly 8 weeks earlier. The human gestation period is roughly 40 weeks long -- but only 38 of those 40 weeks are after conception occurred. If it sounds confusing it's because it is -- but, that's how it works.)

Sweetie just wait a little bit before you get upset about it, normally you can't untill at least five days before your missed period. Although I have been pregnant 4 time and I have 3 children and I knew I was pregnant it's just a gut feeling so of you think so you need to go ahead and start planning so if you do miss your period if want upset you as easy and you will be in the mindset you need to be ib and you need to talk to your boyfriend maybe he can help you get through this i wouldn't have made it through my last 2 without mine. Good Luck!!!

It is too soon to tell. Home pregnancy tests or any urine pregnancy test is looking for a hormone called HCG. Although HCG may present at two weeks gestation it is usually undetectable in urine. It can be detected in blood. Most home pregnancy tests state that they can detect at least 5 days before missed period when HCG is present. So, taking a test now would give false results. You should wait to see if you miss your period and schedule a doctor's appt. to receive accurate results. You would be still very early in your pregnancy. Your symptoms at this point probably wouldn't be attributed to pregnancy. Those symptoms are caused by a hormone imbalance that hasn't occurred in your body yet.

I highly doubt you are pregnant if you had unprotected sex the day that your period started. You were probably ovulating two weeks before that.
But, anything is possible. You can test as early as a day after your period is late.
It sounds like you're making yourself sick, as morning sickness doesn't start until 4 or 5 weeks at the earliest.

If you say that you've been stressed out than that is probably why you are feeling a little sick. But really you'll just have to wait and see, and by the way most of my friends didn't even know they were pregnant untilt hey missed their first period, so I don't think that you should be showing such drastic symptoms just yet. Just wait it out.

You are VERY much at the most infertile stage on the first day of your period, so it is most unlikely you are pregnant. Stress, irritability is not likey to be prevalent so early. The earliest signs are breast tenderness and possible nausea (tho still not so likely). Good luck!

u can't be pregnant as u had sex on the 1st day of ur period. the irritability and nausea could be because of some other reason. High levels of progestrone could be reason of what u r feeling. Still if u feel any doubts wait for a couple of weeks and take a pregnancy test.

Guess it's too early to tell. In my first pregnancy I start felling sick just after three days that I missed my period. I can tell you do that to get pregnant isn't very easy like that. Don't worry, to be nervous can give you all this bad feelings.

Some people have different effects. You could have symptoms as early two weeks, However you could be stressing yourself out for nothing. Until you can find out, stop stressing and relax! Good Luck

Yes, it is too early to tell. You will have to wait until your
period is due.
Also having sex right before your menses means
that most likely, you are not pregnant.
