My son has ADHD,He is doing very poorly in school. He is failing every thing with grades like in the 50s. His teacher says he can do better and keep up with the class if he tried harder. He never does his home work, i tried everything. he tells me he cant write fast enough to keep up with his class. He told his teacher this and she just said you can if you tried. His hand writing looks like a first graders hand writeing. I forgot to say he is 12 years old. My son is very bright but his teachers wont work with him. The school makes every one wear an i.d. if the child doesnt have his id he has to go to detention. My son often forgets his at home or looses it. He also has a hard time keeping up with his books, he looses them too. I think the teachers should be educated about adhd kids and what they should do to help them learn. How can i get the teachers to understand my child and work with him in the class room?

ok, a high school student has a pretty good life, good school, friends etc. got along w/ the teachers n stuff. then that student had to move to a new town and he does not connect with the town and the people there. so now hes a loner. he sits by himself at lunch everyday for the past 1 yr of school. no one offers to invite him to hang out with them or anything.
and he has no social life at this new town. he's in the middle of his junior yr of high school and is a loner. how sad would it be to spend your senior yr all alone every day for the whle yr of school.

Here in the UK a school head has banned primary school kids from making mothers day cards for fear of being insensitive to kids without mothers.

We've made mothers day cards in school for years, i dont see what the problem is really, I lost my dad, but I still pop to the cemetary to see him on fathers day, surely its wrong to wrap kids up in cotton wool so much that they are not allowed to even think of their mum on a day when all other kids are?

What do you think?

Is he right or wrong?

I'm 15 Weeks pregnant, and toothpaste makes me gag every morning. Sometimes it makes me vomit too. Like this morning. :o(
I've switched to the vanilla mint crest. Thats not as bad as the really minty stuff. I also use mouthwash before I brush too. That doesn't effect me at all.

Have you experienced this during your pregnancy? Also, do you have any suggestions as far as different brands that may not be as harsh?

Thank you!

Ok, So arguing with girlfriend at the min. She thinks i am too strict on kids and dont allow them to do anything. I believe in the following is this to strict?

Children should not climb in the Kitchen
Children should not Swear
Children should not hit adults when being told off
Children should not help themself in the fridge (three year old)
Children should not throw toys in tantrums
Children should not show agresive behaviour when being told not to do things
Children should say please and thank you
Children who throw tantrums when they want something dont get the things they want.

My punishment for most of these would be time out and told why they are being put in the time out etc and the right way to do things the next time. Obviously this wouldnt apply to all. Please tell me i am right in this? Clear Boundries and rules need to be set so a toddler dont walk all over you right?

My daughter will be 14 months old when my son is born in 3 weeks. I am concerned about how she is going to react to the new baby. She is such a sweet girl with lots of personality, and I don't want this to change her into a monster. I will be having a c-section so it will be a no-no to pick her up, and that worries me too. Right now I am her jungle gym, and to not be able to pick her up anytime will be hard on her. Any advice from those who have gone through this will be helpful.

The other day I was at the grocery store. The clerk ringing me up (I HAVE TO MENTION I DID *NOT* KNOW HER) all of a sudden looked at me and said, "are you pregnant hun?" I'm 4 1/2 months and not overly large, just average size for 5'6''. She almost seemed concerned. I was like, "uh, yes 18 weeks." and she went "awww" and reached out and touched my belly!!!! I could NOT believe it. I was so weirded out. Was this strange and how can I avoid this in the future? Cuase if she would have caught me on a "bad" day, I would have reached out and touched her stomach because I thought this was totally inappropriate...what do you think about it?

It is not the right time in our lives to bring a child into the world, but I want it so bad. We're not going to, but how can I stop myself from wanting it? I've tried everything. I've tried "just not thinking about it" and spending time with other peoples kids; nothing works. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Ok this might sound a little crazy but what the hell I will ask anyways...This is my 3rd child (36 weeks) and I am having my tubes tied this time because I think 3 is more than enough. I was wondering if ,and I am serious about this,do ya feel any less of a woman if you get your tubes tied? I mean , do you not feel complete like a woman should knowing you cannot have kids anymore? I am having it all the way , tied , burnt, and steel as they call it. Hubby thinks I am silly for feeling this way. Thanks for any suggestions.

Also, I would like to know how many cycles it took you and what state it was done in. My husband and I are considering IUI after 3 years of trying with no success and 2 early miscarriages due to low progesterone. We just want to know if its worth it. Any other details or comments about it would be appreciated.
