Pregnancy & Parenting - 8 February 2007

I have a nine month old baby and older children as well, I do also care for other children as well, this child however is causing me some major problems. I am watching him as a favour to his father, his wife left and he works full time and is in a bind so I can't even back out. I think that all of the drama in the childs life has just just caused some major disipline problems. I could use some advice or ideas that I could try to calm him down a bit. He is disrupting all of the other children in the home and causing me a fair bit of frustration as well.

I am a nanny for a 12 yo with Asperger's. She has a hard time listening, especially when she is watching tv or on the computer. She hears me just fine, but she chooses to not answer or respond to me. How can I help her overcome this? Up to this point, is has just been me asking her repeatedly until I finally get frustrated and say firmly "You're being very rude. Please answer me." I would like to avoid the frustration on both our parts. Any ideas would be great! Thanks!

i was 8 weeks along and my levels were very low i was bleeding for a total of 7 days the day i stopped bleeding started having sex do u think if i get pregnent it could lead in another miscarrage. i really cant wate do u think its a good or bad idea to try so soon? p.s 2 days after i had the natural miscarrage my blood test results for my hcg levels were already down to 300 do u think ill hit 0 or as they say 5.0, let me know i need help.thanks

I am 12 weeks pregnant with my first baby and so far I haven’t gained any weight and I have no “baby bump.” My stomach is still flat and I can’t wear maternity shirts yet.

I have a friend who is pregnant with her first too, and she is wearing maternity shirts at 15 weeks. She has a bump!

I am kind of sad my belly is flat still. :( Will I grow a lot in a few weeks?

I am a nanny for three kids, and 8yo and two 12yo's. They all seem to hate to read! I think it's because they're not very good at it (the 8 year old is still reading Disney counting books). We have started to read every night, but it's always a fight to get them to start, and they complain the whole time. What can I do to help them? I want them to 1) read better and 2) like to read. My 3 yr old is refusing to take his nap or even lay down at Daycare. Instead he runs around the room screaming and hitting his friends with his blanket and other things. Sometimes kicks. The teachers are calling, but he refuses to get on the phone. They relay my message - it's nap time, you don't have to sleep, but you do have to lay on your mat and be quiet. We have started taking toys and treats away and granted back when he is good, but that isn't working. I don't know what to do! He takes them at home, or at least lays there being quiet until nap time is over. I need some suggestions, before he gets kicked-out.

OKAYOKAY, me and my friend were up at like 2 in the morning prank calling random people out the phone number with *67.. and to make a long story short, we called someone that we shouldnt of called.. and we are so retarded she left a voicemail message.. I didn't talk at all, maybe coughed in the backgroud but that's it.. and the message she left was NAUGHTY AND I MEAN OMG NAUGHTY.. but the call was made on my cell but I didn't talk on the voicemail she did all the talking and this person that we called is like someone we shouldnt be calling AT ALL.. if I didnt talk at all on the voicemail, can I get in trouble? This girl is black and I'm white so we defonitely have different voices..

and yeah, this happened like at 2:00pm last night and it's already 11:40AM, so I'm sure she got her messages =/ do you think if she was to get the police involved or something, they would of called me cell already? ooh man.. =/

Can anyone tell me why im finding it so difficult to accept that the father of my unborn child doesnt want to be with me or the baby? Im not an irrational person so I know that I have to simply accept this on move on without him and look after me and my baby. I know emotions run higher in pregnancy and im wondering if thats why I just dont seem to be coping with it.I just feel real rejection for both me and the baby and im devastated by it all. How has anyone else moved on after a split during pregnancy (im 3 months). Im so scared of being a single mum.I really admire all you women (and men) out there who do it alone.I think i just need to pull myself together, just dont know how....any advice would be greatly appreciated x x x x

Ive been having unprotected sex with my partner since aboout late october. Well i was supposed to start my period on the 24th of January, So i took a test the 23rd of January to make sure, and it as negative. On the next day, the 24th, i started to spot lightly, then it got a little heavier than spotting, but only for that one day. My normal periods last 3 - 4 days. But the next two days, it was so light spotting, i didnt even have to wear a pad. On the 27th i took another test just to make sure, and it was negative also. Is it possible that i could be pregnant and it was just not showing up on the test? Please help me out!! Thanx!!!!
