LOL yeah with my last baby I did..I was ready to push out anything inside of me to get it all over with. I layed there yelling "Im sh**ing..and I dont care!!!" They cleaned me up and I did it again. I was in alot of pain and wanted the baby OUT of me........LMFAO

Didnt happen with my first two babies..so I guess sometimes it happens sometimes it doesnt. Dont worry about it really. If it does happen you wont care..it will be the last of your worries.

Besides the staff in labour and delivery see it EVERYDAY. They are totaly understanding. Some of the things that moms say and do while in childbirth are sometimes wild, crazy and dramatic...a bit of poop is no big deal...LOL

Birth and death are messy. Its normal :)

I know its gross but in less someone says it happened you will never know. I have had two children and never once did anyone say anything about me having a bowel movement. Plus once you go into labor it will be the last thing on your mind and you wont care if you do or don't. Congrats and Good Luck with your new baby.

In labor absolutely. I sat on the toilet half my labor but as far as pushing went no. Your systems when you go into labor relaxes your bowels and the hormones I think have something to do with it but yes you will probbaly have loose bowels at least at the beginning. Don't be concerned it is absolutely normal. Good luck!

If you go into labor naturally you're body will probably clean itself out shortly before. Usually before you go into labor you tend to get a bit of diareah..or at least feel the urge to go alot and it'll clear you out...

I had a friend that was induced and she said she have a BM during labor...it happens all the time, and doesn't really phase the nurses...she said they just cleaned it up (there's usually a pad there anyway) replaced the pad and didn't say anything....she actually didn't even realize she had one.....her husband told her later.

I didn't do anything to prevent it, and I didn't have one. Back in the day, you used to give you an enema to stop you from doing that, but now they've figured out that it's just part of the labor process. Plus, I've heard that if you do poo while in labor, they clean it up so fast, most generally no one knows it but the doctor.

You can always ask the nurse for an enema before you begin "pushing". This should prevent any bowel movements during that time. Good luck!

Oh my gosh yes! With my 2nd baby, and I hadn't even started pushing yet!! I just called the nurse in because I felt like there was something between my legs and she said "Oh honey, you just had a bowl movement.". I honestly didn't know!! There was so much pressure down there that I couldn't tell the difference!
My friend had it happen too with one of hers. I have 4 kids, so it doesn't happen every time. It really is okay. Trust me, nurses don't care. They see it every day.

try not to eat heavy things during the last few weeks of your pregnancy. but that might not even work because the pushing is the feeling of having a bowel movement so all i have to say is good luck and hope it doesn't happen to you and if it does its normal don't stress to much

I think most women do...if you want to read about all the crazy embarassing stuff that happens in pregnancy buy Jenny McCarthy's book called Belly Laughs..it is great if you have a good sense of humor about this kind of stuff

It's pretty common. It happened to my sister when she was in labor...the Dr's and nurses are so used to it though...they clean it up so fast and they really don't think anything about it. I know it's hard to not be embarrassed, but they really don't care!! In fact, they see it as a good thing because it shows you're pushing correctly :)
