I took a first response hpt this am and got a NEG result....I then looked at the package and noticed that the expiration date read 10/06...does anyone know if that will effect the result of the test?????

That's just barely expired, I'm sure it works just fine. Wait a few days, if you still haven't gotten your period then retest.

You can get many neg results on those PT's. I would take another one if you think you are prego or else go get checked out because sometimes those tests don't pick up the prego hormones.

Don't know what a hpt is, but where ever you bought if from you should take it or send it back. They should give you an exchange or refund since it's out of date.
