No, it's disgusting behavior and it's hard on everyone who has to hear it. I can't say that I haven't let something slip out before, but it's not right to do in front of ones children. They should be embarassed. It's trucker talk!!!

That is a question only the individual parent can answer. If a parent disapproves of profanity, then no. But if a parent uses profanity regularly and does not try to correct themselves, how can they correct the child for the same behavior? I have two kids, and they know what "bad" words are. I sometimes swear when I am angry or frustrated, and they catch me at it and of course call me out over it. So I appoligize to them and try not to use such language. Because I show them that it is wrong and correct myself, I expect the same from them. I don't punish them harshly, but they do get fussed. Also, they are under 10yrs old. If they were older, I probably wouldnt scold as much, if the swearing wasnt but occasionally, and only when they were showing emotion, but not directing the swearing at anyone. Example, they stub their toe and say Dam! or whatever. That isnt really worth a scolding....

No they shouldn't and I think that is a shame obviously the parents use profanity and it's silly the parents shouldn't use profanity either. Wow with so many words in the dictionary a parent would need to be better educated and maintain self control before they start to sware in front or at the kids. What are you teaching them? I'm not going to be a hypocrite I used to sware all the time at school or with my peers but when you become a parent there are some things you should let go.

Parents shouldn't be allowing profanity and they themselves shouldn't be saying it around the kids either.
Many times I see parents swearing away but are offended when their kid say it. The ones that allow this perhaps use it so often they don't seem to notice or believe they'll outgrow it (wrong).
Most kids do swear but if they're anything like mine, they are aware of their surrounding and know that if I hear it or get wind of it from others, there will be trouble.

No never! Why would any parents allow their child to use profanity without being corrected and told that the language is inappropriate? As parents, we have the responsiblity to teach our children what's right and wrong. Using profanity towards anyone is disrepectful! You got to teach your children respect to get respected!

It's not acceptable in our house. However, if its the vernacular that the parents use, then why would they be expected to scold their children? They just need to be taught that its not an acceptable way to speak in public--a lesson a lot of kids seem to be lacking if you've ever walked around the mall on a Saturday.

Hmmmm, nope! It's a matter of R-E-S-P-E-C-T.
My daughter has a friend that can curse. It's such a horrible sight. This girl is 11. I didn't know until I brought my daughter to her b-day party. We were in the kitchen and the door bell rang. this girl shouted "I'll get the f-ing door" The other parent stood there in shock. I knew something was about to go down. However her mom said OK thanks. After speaking with my daughter, so told me this girl can curse. Her mom doesn't care.
I don't get it

If the parents don't use profanity, the children shouldn't do it. If the parents have trash mouths, they have nothing to say when trash comes out of their child's mouth.

this honestly could be seen whilst awarding custody... ends up in a custody case are continually based on the baby's maximum suitable interest and if one be certain smokes around the baby, she or he isn't thinking interior the baby's maximum suitable interest; particularly if that is affecting the baby's wellbeing!! The court docket is going to look on the smoking be certain as egocentric and irresponsible; because of the fact the be certain apparently does not care if the smoke impacts the baby. My suggestion could be (assuming you are the nonsmoking be certain) to invite the court docket to put in writing that the different be certain can not smoke around the baby because of the fact it has led to allergic reactions and bronchial asthma. in case you have a cutting-edge order in place, you are able to in all probability report a action to have this extra to it.

It's a personal preference, but even as an adult, I don't use profanity in my parents' presence. It's disrespectful.
