Pregnancy & Parenting - 6 February 2007

Have been trying since November, LMP 2/2/07. Every day I am dreaming of being pregnant. I need some advice on how to relax and not obsess about it. How do you relax and not think about it when that is what you want so bad? Any advice?

The last three mounths Im dreaming of being pregnant and Im always giving birth to a son. I even could her sounds around me and a little child calling for me, (moom!) every time a wake up. I do want to get pregnant and I am thinking about it a lot latley, but Im too young. Help, What does it mean?!

I have been on birth control for 7 years. My husband and I would like to conceive in about a year. Should I get off the pill now? How long did it take for you to get pregnant after getting off the pill?

He used to sleep from 8pm until 6am, but know he cries at 9 and continues this every half hour until about midnight then gets up at 3 for a bottle. As soon as we pick him up he's fast asleep. Around 11 we give him a bottle but he only wants alittle then falls asleep. I have been told this could be teething, but it has been going on for awhile now.

I just started pumping last week to store milk and i am only getting about 2.5 oz a day. I have read that the first few times of pumping you wont get too much so it should be practice. She weighed 5 13 when we brought her home from the hospital and was up to 7 1 last week...is this a good weight gain?

I am going to become a stay at home mom for my 1 year old and would like to watch one other child for extra income. It would also give my baby some social interaction with other children throughout the day. I have a nice home in a good neighborhood, with a little payground across the street, and lots of toys. I also have nanny experience. How much should I ask per week or month?

I am a single mom, so far Santa has only brought presents for my daughter on Christmas, as he has continued to drop mine off at my parent's house thus far. When should I tell Santa to start bringing them to my own house, so my daughter doesn't think it's weird that she's the only one getting presents at our house on Christmas? She's 2 1/2 now, will be 3 by next Christmas. Would next Christmas be a good time to start, or not necessary yet?

PS - I know kids come on here, that's why I phrased my question the way I did!

My daughter developed a rash on her chest about two weeks ago. The bumps look like small pimples, and covered her upper chest, shoulders, and upper back. When I took her to the doctor, she said my daughter just had dry skin, and suggested I bathe her less often (twice a week), use less or no soap and apply moisturizer daily. I did this, but the rash is still there, and now it's spread to her lower abdomen. Any suggestions? Should I take her back to the doctor?

my son is 5 months old and still suffering from colic,i thought it'd only last 3 months,im praying it ends soon,im breastfeeding but give him 1 bottle of aptimal formula before bed,(i use the dr browns bottles for that feed)..im using infacol at the minute,i think it's helped a TINY bit but not much,......i keep blaming my diet,i even tried cutting out dairy,i eat healthy..nothing seems to work......its sooo much hard work

Yesterday I asked if my daughter was too old to suck the binky only during nap and bed time and majority of you said yes... I totally agree but what is a good way to take her off the binky?

I like the name Payton Jackson. What do people think of the name? My husband says he likes Payton but as a middle name. If anyone has any ideas for a first name, I'd appreciate it.

Ok I have started my daughter on solds at 4 months not that often but I try. I just get so fustrated because I try to feed her a little and it goes ok and then she gets a little cranky so I give her a little bottle and then its over she does not want anything else. I cant take the bottle away. How can I start her on solids sucessfully?

my daughter is 10 months and goes to bed at 7.00pm and wakes at 7.30/8.00 am why do some people not put there babies to bed till like 10.30/11.pm?? you have no time to take to hubby about his day ect do you go to bed all at the same time ???

I think my daughters bedroom is a total mess. She calls in organized chaos. As far as I'm concerned those 2 words dont' fit together. How can it be orgainzed and chaos too? Seems to me it has to be one or the other.

Our first baby was a girl, then we had a boy. I have had a miscarriage and now I am 4 months pregnant. What are the chances that I will have a girl or a boy. My husband has more sisters than brothers. I have all sisters. I am already showing and I seem to be showing more in the hips and carring low. Thanks for all your help. I am a little suspicous of my wife. I love her with all of my heart but I just have a gut feeling, even though I've had gut feelings that are wrong. She's pregnant and has told me that she is showing very big at only 4 mos. She told me today that she lost part of her mucous plug along with having braxton contractions. I am wonderinf if this is really too early? If so then it answer's a lot of my questions. I could be wrong I've been reading that some woman lost all or part of it but that is usually at 36 weeks of pregnancy. My wife and I got together mid September 2006. I am just really suspicious.

i always shaved my pubic hair, i think its much cleaner looking... but now that im pregnant and will be going to hospital and dr for checks ups regularly,(vaginal scans) should i let it grow. just wondering what most women do if they shaved before they got pregnant.????

Every month or so I get a really big pimple on my nose and it's always on my nose. It has that white stuff on it when I pop and the water thing or whatever you call it. I'm really serious about getting this crap off my nose. I had about 6 of them on my nose and when they're gone they're just scars that sometimes turns red. They're twice or even thrice the size of normal pimples. Can someone help me out? I ordered Proactive and it's going to come here in about a week. But, I didn't want them to mail me refill every 2 months.

My daughter is over 10 months old and has been breastfed exclusively (no formula). I feel like there is some extra weight hanging around, and I have heard that your body keeps some stores of fat while you are breastfeeding, just in case. I know breastfeeding helps you lose weight initially after birth, but does anyone have any experience of losing additional weight after they stop breastfeeding? I am not looking for a reason to stop breastfeeding, just some hope that the extra weight is there for a reason.
