i'd say that was a very good weight gain.
as long as she is putting on weight she is probably gettiung enough milk. Keep watching her weight, that will tell you if she is getting enough

Are you going back to work soon?
Pumping does take practice...but I think you're worrying about it a little too soon.
I'm not sure how much they need...I just put my son to the breast everytime he acted hungry and he seemed satisfied...still does, he's 4 months now and has got to be at least 15 pounds!
I don't know if you've ever tried to hand express..or watched your infant eat...but the pump is not the most efficient thing to express milk. Even when you can't get anything with the pump...your baby can still get milk...so don't be discouraged if you're only getting 2 ounces with the pump...your baby is definately getting more than that out of you.
Oh and the weight gain sounds excellent!

It is hard to know how much breastmilk that babies drink since most of the time, we just let them nurse until they're full. I made plenty of breastmilk for my sons, but could never have pumped enough, I just could never get that much from a pump. The weight gain sounds fine but if you are concerned, call the doctor. I would encourage you not to worry about the number of ounces your daughter is eating (although if you are only pumping and not nursing then you will need to know so you can pump enough). Babies grow best and are healthiest when they respond to their bodies and when the breastmilk changes as they need it. I always wanted to have a stock pile of milk in the freezer in case I needed it but I was never able to. If you need help, try your local WIC office or the La Leche League. There are a lot of moms there who can help you pump more. There is a website called breastfeeding.com that is really nice with advice and videos.
Good luck

Good Job! she sounds like she is doing very well. When I had my first son he weighed 4lbs 15 oz and my milk was less than 2oz at first. It is a supply on demand your milk will increase. I nursed my first son for 18 months and now my new son he is 6 months he weighed 6 lbs 15 oz and his first week check up he weighed 7.15 a whole lb. lol i was pumping 8 oz at a time. If your doctor thinks shes fine she is. It is totally normal to get that little amount. I remember i was always scared it wasn't enough...believe me if it wasn't your baby will let you know. Again GOOD JOB on nursing.

She sounds like she is doing really well. Pumping often doesn't get as much as your baby will eat at a feeding when she breastfeeds. What you pump is not relative to what she eats. Keep pumping. I also suggest that you pump after she eats to keep your supply up and to get some reserve for later. Keep up the good work.

all babies are different, and you will never get out as much breastmilk pumping as you will just nursing, I would pump 3 oz out of each breast and my daughter would eat all 6 oz, but if I just nursed her from the breast she would only eat off of one side and would be full.

babies actually have a very small tummy, as long as she is gainning weigh steadily then she's fine. let her be the lead and guide you how much she wants to eat. i have a petite baby too - she was only 3kg when she was born and now 9 months later she's only 7kg! don't worry - just go with it!
