Relax it all depends on the baby. All three of my boys chose to walk right before there first birthday 11.5 months. I've heard of babies walking as early as 7 months but not too many. When they want to walk they will walk especially if they have other siblings. Some babies don't care to walk but rather crawl. And some babies are fooling you they know how to walk but they just don't walk. Don't rush it because if you have a stubborn child they will rebel even as babies trust me. Also enjoy your child crawling for now because when they walk they get into everything. I was excited about my first baby walking but when he got into everything I did'nt even press the issue with my other two boys however they are close in age and wanted to keep up with the older ones and started crawling and walking right away.

Relax! There is no set time for a baby to walk. My oldest didn't walk or even crawl till he was 14 months, that is a little slow & I was getting concerned. My daughter walked at 7 1/2 months, it can vary greatly. If baby is healthy, has normal reflexes and motor function then every thing is fine. My middle son was about average and walking at around 8-9 months. Each of us develop at different rates in different ways. If you are overly concerned ease your mind with a trip to the doc. Otherwise..........................

Enjoy, because if baby is a slow beginner chances are once he/she takes off you will all at once be VERY busy. Good luck & have FUN!! They are grown before you know it.

My daughter is 14 months and still prefers crawling

She can take steps though and when she holds my pinky she can walk around pretty easily

don't rush it though because when encouraged too early children end up being bow-legged and that is a fact

For african american babbies, February, because it's black history month.

White babibies, January or December, because of Christmas, and Presidents day.
