You need to see your doctor immediately, if you haven't already. Your panic attacks are not life-threatening to you if you are healthy, but you may develop pregnancy related complications. Please check out the link below for more information.

Anxiety disorders can be treated, but you need to receive treatment that is not harmful to your little baby. Your doctor is the only person who can advise you on treatment and complications.

My daughter suffers from panic attacks, and she never, ever goes anywhere without a paper bag! It may sound daft, but it could mean the difference between a mild attack or a major one. Long, slow, deep breaths into a paper bag can help a lot!

First off, stress any stress can hurt the baby. It's very important to talk with your doctor about this. Stress leads to many things, and all are not good or welcome when your pregnant.
If you've always had panic attacks , and havn't told your doctor nows the time to speak up. If you've just gotten them possibly because of the overwhelming fact that you are pregnant than , again speak with your doctor.
You can try several things, first is when you feel it coming on, take yoruself out of whatever room your in, if your at work, excuse yourself, if your at home simply go into a room that's quiet and take big deep breaths, shut your eyes and just let it out. As simple as it is, it's not really. When your worked up it takes control to calm yourself down. I got worked up with my first pregnancy with my son and I did a couple thigns that really helped. One was breathing, another was taking a pressure ball in each hand and squezzing it as I breathed and just kept doing it until I felt the tension go away. I made sure I got some fresh air even if it was sitting around a fan just to feel the breeze on my face. I fllexed my hands alot, tried to think of the one thing that would always make me happy. Whatever it is, a dessert, a drink, a certain picture a friends face, a moment that would amke you laugh. Anything that would just get yourself thinking of something else will slowly get your mind off of whatever trigger the attack.
It's hard, for some people they do have to go on medications for it, it's different for everyone but the simple running course of hormones sudden fears and worries of being pregnant can easily trigger it off for those who never had a problem before. Try and figure out when it is the attacks happen, as in if you were doing something and or thinking of one thing that happened right before your attack. If you can, you can start preparing yourself and taking yourself out of the situation before it starts.
The biggest thing you have to do is talk with your doctor, between the two of you you can either side step the problem, however that may be. Stress is no good for you and it is not going to be any better for baby if it keeps up!
Remember breathing can be the hardest and yet most availble way to calm yourself down, if you need buy lunch paper bags and keep them handy in the car, at work, near the bed, in each room if that's what it takes. Have them handy. It really helps no matter how silly you think you look.
Take care of yourself, Good luck and I hope things work out for you.

Definately talk to your doctor. They will be able to help you. Are your panic attacks due to the fact you are going to be a mother or have you always suffered from them? If they are just do to the fact of being pregnant join a pregnancy/new mom group (you could do one of these online) and start taking parenting classes to be as prepared as possible. Also, let your family and close friends in on this so they can be as helpful to you as possible.
I am trying for a baby and I feel I will have major stress and panic attacks during pregnancy, because this happened to me when my husband and I got two puppies. It is overwhelming. But I have already talked to my doctor about it and she said that there will be things we can try when we get to that.
Good luck and enjoy being pregnant some women never get the chance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to get panic attacks all the time when I was in middle school. Especially when I would go out to eat. I sometimes still get them if I do something as little as not bringing a sweater with me. I have to be carrying a sweater, jacket or be wearing a long-sleeved shirt all the time to avoid getting them. I also get them sometimes when I'm in the car for a long period of time or I'm driving somewhere far from home or if I'm not somewhere near a bathroom. It's terrifying and I know exactly how it feels to get them. They've stopped for me and I don't get them as often anymore, even though I'm not on medication.

I have severe panic disorder that I take medication for each day. If I were your doctor, I wouldn't start you on anything durring pregnancy, but that's just my opinion. You should try meditation and relaxation.
When you feel one coming on, focus on your breathing and take deep slow breaths. Speak to your mind and tell yourself that you're going to be just fine. Try to gain some control over your mind. You really can talk yourself either into or out of having one.
I've had this for 5 years now.

Have you talked to your doctor about this, I also have panic attacks but not as much anymore, I used to have them bad and they have gone away a good bit just on my own, my doctor told me to just acknowledge that I was having one and do breathing exercises. I hope the best for you and your baby.

I did to. I even freaked out every time something was wrong with me thinking it was something terrible. The doctor can perscribe some type of of antidepressent or anxiety medication that is safe to take during pregnancy if you really need it. I think Zoloft is fine to take. Don't take Prozac while pregnant.

Breathe in a paper bag. the reason why they ame you do this is because you hyperventalate and receive too much oxygen and that's why you get dizzy. when you breathe in the paper bag you're not receiving as much Oxygen but some carbon dioxide. but you should try to think happy becuase you could pass out or somethin
