I am going to become a stay at home mom for my 1 year old and would like to watch one other child for extra income. It would also give my baby some social interaction with other children throughout the day. I have a nice home in a good neighborhood, with a little payground across the street, and lots of toys. I also have nanny experience. How much should I ask per week or month?

Depends on how many hours you are watching the kids, it also depends on where you live. Where I live it is common to pay about 30-40$ (CAD) a day for in home childcare, but I have read that in some states (TEXAS) they only charge about 100$ a week.

The best thing to do is to check around where you live and see what other childcare providers are charging

GOOD LUCK!!

It really depends on the age of the child... Normally in my area, a baby up to toddler should be anywhere between $80 to $100... Many daycare facilities actually charge much more than this. Check out the surrounding daycares in your area to get an estimate then base your fee accordingly..

We pay about $24 (Canadian) per day for in home care (my son is 4; it is more for a baby and less for an older child). This is through a day care, so it is regulated and inspected, but is in someone's home and so there is a max of 5 children at any one time.

It really depends on the economics of your own community, BUT I paid pretty good to keep someone in my home for that same purpose...and she came every morning and left when I got home....but I did not have to bundle the kids up so early and it was a load off my plate...Just make sure you can trust who is on your home...
