it doesn't matter who has what gender or how many brothers or sisters you have. it's always a 50-50 chance.

Yeah, I know, everyone says it's 50/50, but really if you're already pregnant, it's actually 100% one or the other. It's just a matter of trying to figure out the signs and what they mean. My husband has four sisters and two daughters (one by his ex), so we didn't think our second would be a boy, but it was!
Is this pregnancy more like the one when you had a girl, or more like the one when you had a boy? I have a girl and a boy as well, and the pregnancies were pretty different. Sick all the time with the first, no morning sickness with the second.
Check the Chinese Lunar Calendar -- that seems to be more accurate than other predictors. It's a lot of fun trying to guess what this one is going to be using all the old wives' tales. I actually filled out a spreadsheet in Excel when I was pregnant with my second, listing all the old wives' tales and what each one said about whether it would be a boy or a girl. Half said boy, half said girl! So you can try them if you like, but they'll only be right half the time (most likely).
You are getting very close to the 20 week mark when you get to find out via ultrasound, if you want to. It drove me nuts not knowing throughout the entire second pregnancy!
Good luck and congratulations!

It doesn't matter how many males or females are in the family. All that matters is whether your husband donated an X or a Y to your X chromosome. That is it. You probably don't want to hear it, but your chances are 50/50 for either sex.
Congrats on the pregnancy though :)

Whether or not you have a boy or girl depends on the chromosome of the sperm that fertilized you. Women only have X chromosomes, while men have X and Y. If the sperm was a Y chromosome you will have a boy, if it was X a girl. It just kinda depends on which are stronger swimmers in your husbands case. In ancient times there was a king ( I can't remember the name) but he wanted a boy for his heir. He went through many wives, killing them when they could not produce him with a son; thinking it there fault. When in reality, science has proven it is men who determine the gender of the child. Of course, back then he wouldn't know that; but you'd think after 40 some-odd wives and only daughters he'd figure out maybe HE was the problem. Good luck, I hope you have a healthy pregnancy and baby!

No matter how many kids you had before and how many siblings you have, your chances are always 50/50. If you really want to know, ask at your next ultrasound. That's the only way to know for sure. Even they can be wrong sometimes.

Ummm...it's still 50/50. You're either going to get a boy...or a girl. My hubby and I are beating odds and having our second be a boy. There is only one boy on each side of the family out of a ton of girls. Go with your gut. I told everyone I was having a boy and NOONE believed me. Smile.

You can't tell by genetics or past children!
However at about 14 weeks when the heart rate regulates
girls will have a higher heart rate usually between 160-175
boys will have a slower heartbeat at 140-155 It is about 80% right however it is not fool proof! You could also look at a Chinese birth chart http://www.webwomb.com/chinesechart.htm Make sure you are using your age at Birth not conception! I have matched it up with all my friends and family and it is about 90% right! Have fun and enjoy your pregnancy and your baby to be!

you have a 50/50 chance... if you notice you seem to be carrying simialar to when you were pregnant with your girl or boy that could be an indication. what is your gut feeling? mothers intuition seems to be pretty accurate.
