My husband and I are thinking about adopting from China. We have kids in the family already though. We would like to discuss this with the children however we would like to know what other parents have come across as to what kids have asked. We would like to be prepared for the simple and hard questions. What have adopted parents already been asked?

That no matter how much time passes, no matter how old he gets, or how much you age, how many years pass, that you will always look at his eyes and see that precious little newborn face?

Its so unreal how much you can love such a needy crying person who deprives you of sleep and sanity.

Do you mom's of grown children still see them as your little babies? Are you any less in love with them now, even after all the hard trying times you went through raising them?

I'm 21 and 17 weeks pregnant! The pregnancy was unplanned, but most definately not unwanted... atleast on my part. Unfortunately my boyfriend of 3 years left me the moment I told him becuase he doesn't want anything interfering with his life-plan. I've contacted and informed my parents who are only willing to help me out by paying for everything the baby will need in the first 4 months... the problem is, I have no idea what new born babies need!!! Could anyone please help me draw up a list of everything I need to get for the baby???? Please.... I'm clueless but willing to learn!

my 9 month old son is not crawling quite yet, but he is pulling up and cruising the furniture. my problem is that i try to go to the gym about 3 times a week and they have a day care there. i only stay for 30 min to an hour while he is in the day care. it seems as though he is fine when i drop him off, but when i come to get him he is always screaming. the girls tell me that he insists on being held the whole time and is pretty fussy. at home he plays alot by himself and i don't hold him much at all, but it is just the two of us. i just feel bad for the girls at the gym and i feel bad for him not enjoying his time there. i feel strongly that working out is something i need to do for myself, but i feel guilty everytime i go. any suggestions for him, or me???

My friend's son, 15 years old, has a very hard time staying focused on anything. It takes him two hours, literally, to do a few dishes. It takes him 3 hours to do 30 minutes worth of homework. He can take from the time he gets home from school until suppertime to eat a snack. Not doing anything else in the meantime. Just munchin' on the snack. He's easily distracted, but he's a brilliant child, all Advanced classes, etc. The advanced classes are totally his idea, but his parents have to stay after him to get his homework done so that he can go to bed. The teachers say that it is just his personality. Procrastination is not a good personality trait. Especially when he's looking to start working within the next year. He will get the job done quickly if he has something that he wants to do, or if he has a time limit. But always setting time limits gets humdrum to both him and his parents. And a boss isn't going to be that patient. What can his parents do?

My 2 1/2 year old began spitting about a month ago. He spits when he's angry, when he's in time out and sometimes for no apparent reason. He spits on himself, furniture, people, in peoples' food and drinks and so on. When I put him in time-out for spitting, he just does it more. I tried ignoring it at first, I didn't want to feed into any negative attention, but it only got worse. I'm at a total loss as to what to do. I'm totally humiliated and frustrated by this. I don't want this behavior to affect relationships with playmates and visitors ( it has started to, people don't take kindly to children spitting on their kids) Can anyone help?

This is my third pregnancy. I gained at least 50lbs. with each of the other two. But, that was 7yrs. ago. I am now 28 and have only gained 10lbs at 6months pregnant. The Dr. said not to worry, but this is so little how can I not? The baby weighs about 2lbs. So she seems to be ok. Why am I not gaining like I did with my last two?

Last month I thought I could possibly be pregnant-I stressed over it- more like Hoped-and that was what made me late. My husband and I are TTC, I have been on mymonthlycycle.com-in the ovulation calculator it asks for first day of last period-I put in the 17th(which is when I should have started)- I did it again but I put in the 23rd(which is when I did start)....each time I got a different ovulation day. Does anyone know if I go by when I should have started or when I did start?

Do you think it's ok to email my family the news that my husband and I are going to have a baby?

That way everyone gets the message at once, just not sure if it is considered informal.

Thanks for your help.

I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) last year. Recently, my husband and I have decided to have children, but unfortunately it will be difficult because of my PCOS. I was trying to find success stories about women with PCOS getting pregnant, but I can't seem to find much in comparison with negative stories. I will be going on Clomid soon and hopefully that will work.

My question is, who out there has PCOS and has a success story that will make this less of a heartache? Has anyone tried Clomid? My gyno told me that I have a greater chance of miscarriages because of the PCOS. Did anyone experience this? What do you suggest? Any and all advice would be great, thank you.

I have had some common signs of pregnancy but Sunday night I had bad cramping and some spotting, more brown spotting than red blood. I have not seen any blood since yesterday afternoon and had very light brown spotting. I was supposed to start my period yesterday anyway and my periods are usually only about 2 days long. Any advice would be appriciated.....Thanks......
