Gaining 10 pounds in 6 months is absolutely fine and nothing to worry about. Chances are that you have lost a little bit of body fat during this pregnancy, which is why you haven't gained as much as previous pregnancies.
Weight gain is not seen as an important indicator of how your pregnancy is progressing these days. As long as you are measuring ok, it is fine.
I only gained 4 pounds in the first 4 months, and I didn't have any morning sickness.
You still have 3 months to go and will probably gain a lot more yet! If you gain another 10 pounds that this is average, and still takes you to a pretty normal kind of weight gain.
My midwife told me I should only gain 21 pounds during pregnancy.

Well, you are only 6 months, and you will probably gain about a pound a week for the rest of your pregnancy. Which should bring you up to at least 20 lbs overall gain which isn't bad at all. Every woman is different. Also, if you were overweight at all before you got pregnant, then you only need to gain 15-25 pounds during your pregnancy. If you were very underweight already before becoming pregnant, then I would worry a little bit and try and eat more often. But otherwise I think you'll be fine. I'm only 12 weeks now, and have lost weight, and the doctor told me not to worry, that you WILL gain weight... lol. I think you'll be just fine. The baby has more weight to gain, and I'm sure you will too.
Also, I've heard of many women not gaining very much weight until their 7th or 8th month. Discuss your concerns with your doctor, and maybe they can give you some tips, but if your doctor isn't worried, then you shouldn't worry too much.
Good luck and Congrats!

This is my second pregnancy and I also am not gaining very much. My doc told me at the end of the 1st trimester weight gain should be at least 10lbs, but at that point I had barely gained 5. I also lost 6 lbs in the beginning too. At 6 months pregnant I was only up to 7-10. So They put me on double munching duty over the holidays...and now I am up where I should be. Baby boy #2 is fine, as am I. I just eat when I am hungry now. Looking forward to meeting him. 30 weeks and counting.

I am 26 weeks and have only gained a pound, since my last visit the doc isnt worried either, the baby is growing and seems fine, she is a little underweight (by 2 oz) but things ae going well. I believe this time I have gained a bit more, maybe 3 pounds or so. We will see,
Not to worry, my big difference in this one was its a girl, my last one was a boy and I hae been extremley sick with this one up until about 2 weeks ago.

Don't worry yourself, if your doctor says things are fine, then they are.
I could never gain weight with my first pregnancy, honestly I even had to drink some milkshakes just to help myself out here and there. But I only gained about 17lbs all together. The same with my second, that was about 15lbs
I'm 30wks along now and have not gained anything but 10 lbs.
I wouldn't worry about it honestly, it would only make you stress about something that will happen on it's own. Long as baby is growing your doing great!
Relax! It's still early to be stressing over how much or how little your gaining! Besides that, as long as your eating a balanced meal your doing a great job!

I have been so sick with this pregnancy. I gained 34 pounds with my first but this time I have lost 14 lbs. I started out at 195 and lost down to 182 in first 2 months. Then gained 4 back and have lost down to 181 where I am now. Dr said it is ok b/c baby is measuring fine. With me being overweight to begin with I did not need to gain much anyway. So I guess it is ok not to gain as long as they say the baby is growing normal. Good Luck!

during pregnancy, our metabolism increases, possibly this time around your metabolism, combined with how you are eating may be limiting your weight gain. You are 6 months preggers and have gained 10 lbs. I would say that you are just fine. The ideal pregnancy weight gain is 20-25 pounds. So you are likely on schedule for that.
I have been blessed to have actually lost weight during my pregnancy, and my baby has been growing right on schedule. For some people, pregnancy just works the opposite way.
Don't get too worried.

I wouldn't stress too much over gaining alot of weight yet. I have had 3 babies...my first one gained over 60 pounds...my second only gained 26 pounds but only gained like 5 pounds in the first 6 months...third one gained 21 pounds. As long as your doctor is not concerned you shouldn't be either...I am sure you will catch up.

I have had two children. With my first, I gained 60+ pounds. With my second I only gained 20. Each pregnancy is different. Be thankful you aren't gaining weight. Old wives tail is if you don't gain much weight, you are having a boy, if you gain alot of weight, you will have a girl.

My mom did the same thing. Only gained 15 pounds with me and I weighed 7lbs. As long as your OB/gyn thinks you are okay, then I think you should relax. You can drink Ensure nutrition drinks to supplement your diet if you are concerned that you and your baby aren't getting enough.
Every pregnancy is different, too. I never know what I'm going to get with mine. The only thing any of them had in common was a baby at the end of 40 weeks!
