Last month I thought I could possibly be pregnant-I stressed over it- more like Hoped-and that was what made me late. My husband and I are TTC, I have been on mymonthlycycle.com-in the ovulation calculator it asks for first day of last period-I put in the 17th(which is when I should have started)- I did it again but I put in the 23rd(which is when I did start)....each time I got a different ovulation day. Does anyone know if I go by when I should have started or when I did start?

When you did start! You should averagly ovulated 14 days after the first day of your last period! Look for signs of ovulation like lots of cervical fluid check out http://www.tcoyf.com/.

Calculate by the date you actually started.
Another easy way to calc. is to count 10-14 days from the day your period ended.
