Caffeine clearance from the body continues essentially unchanged during the first trimester of pregnancy, but is substantially delayed during the second and third trimesters, because the half-life of caffeine extends to 10.5 h from a normal of 2.5 h to 4.5 h.2
IS this saying that consumption of caffeine isnt that bad during the first trimester. But does take effect on the baby in the second and third?
Or the opposite? Either way caffeine is bad during pregnancy right?

My 19 month old just took a fall from the kitchen counter after climbing up a stepstool to get a snack. She fell off, mostly hit her right side of the face and head, no bump, no bruise just red. Already called the ped's office, already knew what to look for but forgot to ask whether or not it's alright to give her some baby motrin to help.
Doctors office is closed and getting anyone along the lines of a nurse at the hospital seems to be impossible. She stopped screaming, has her balance, responds and seems alright other than being quiet and rubbing where it's red.
Think it's alright to give motrin?

if you woke up to hearing your 6 year old daughter crying loud enough to wake you and walk into her room and find a man in her bed raping her roughly? and she cried and he got of her and threatened you and had blood all over the bed and said if you don't get down on the ground he will kill you kid?

ok i know already that most 13 or older but i think mostly 13 year old look at internet pornography. where have teenage people get the idea that this is ok i mean first of like where do they even get the idea of looking at pornography in the first place. and are there any good parental block out there that are good and why dont a lot more parents put them on there computer? do parents even care about what we view on the internet?? and i want your personal opinion on this topic and please rate this question.

I have just found out that I am pregnant with our first child.
I was due on my period on Thursday, which didnt happen, took the test Sunday & another today, both are positive. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning to confirm. Now I am trying to work out when I concieved. I am guessing that I am 3-4 weeks pregnant after my husband & I had intercourse the week after last months period. But we had intercourse the day before last months period, then I 'came on' the following day.
Now I know I probably concieved this month as a period is the unfertilised egg 'breaking up' (for lack of better words), but do u think it is possible that I couldve concieved the day before my last period???

No silly replies please, only genuine one's.

My friend and her husband married after a few months of knowing each other. They are celebrating their 2nd anniversary and up until 3 months ago they had a bad marriage and planned to divorce. For the past 2 months they have been rebuilding their marriage and say things are much better.

My friend got pregnant and it wasn't planned. She said she isn't sure that they will be married forever, but it taking it one day at a time.

I am 6 days & 1 week pregnant. I have no morning sickness. I mean, I have felt a little nauseous here and there.. but I don't think it's morning sickness.. I had an ultrasound last week and it showed a yolk sac but apparently too early for fetal pole ( 5 weeks 3 days). I have another appointment for u/s in 8 days (but whos counting?!). Really worried that I'm going to miscarry because I have no morning sickness.. I have really tender breasts though.. Anyone have any supportive stories??

I'm 26 weeks & my baby moves for hours at a time...she moves for almost 3 hours straight (nonstop kicking & punching) Is it normal for her to be so active? I thought babies were supposed to sleep a lot.

We have a 9 month old baby girl who currently sleeps in our bedroom. We have the crib next to our bed, where she sleeps part of the night. When she wakes up in the middle of the night I bring her into bed with us and she falls back asleep. We would like to have her continue to stay in our room with us, until we feel that she is ready to sleep on her own. My doctor says we should cry-it-out with her and put her in her crib in her own room or else she will not be able to sleep by herself for a long time. But it does not feel like the right thing for us.
In your experience, what would you recommend. What impact might we see on her development - positive/negative if we keep doing what we're doing until she is 3/4 years old vs. forcing her on her own now? For example, outgoing personality vs. shy, friendliness, gets along with children, relationship with parents, etc... What would you do?
