Pregnancy & Parenting - 29 January 2007

I took a pregnancy test about a week ago, and again tonight, both times a very faint positive came up, and than faded away after about 15 sec. I have had the increased headaches, fatigue, tenderness, Heartburn, nausea, mood swings, peeing, cravings, and insomnia.

Would that test be still considered a positive test? Do you think I am pregnant?

My father was in my life until i was 14. then he was in and out of my life until i was 19 when he disappeared completely. i havent seen him since (im 23). the last words he said to me were "i dont owe you anything im done raising you".
should i tell my child he's dead? i would never consider letting him back in my life. (not that he would try). i am still close to my father's mother and sisters but i only see them like once a yr.

also my boyfriend's father is a deadbeat but his father still calls him. he doesnt want to tell him he has a child, he wants to tell our child he is dead. i told him thats ridiculous. at least his father calls him. and he does pop up a few times a decade. it wont be possible.

i just dont know what to say if she were to ask where my daddy was.

My husband may have cancer and need chemotherapy and has been advised to bank his sperm. What procedure would I need to become pregnant later? Does insurance cover this? What are the costs, risks etc. etc. Just don't know anything and would like the basic information.

My husband and I have been trying for a baby and we've been sure to hit all of the days that I've been ovulating and we've been having sex like normal. My stomach is doing back flips and I'm peeing more. I'm not sure if these could be pregnancy symptoms or if it's just in my head because I'm really hopeful? How soon after conception would I start to feel symptoms and which ones would they be?

My b/f of a year and I broke up about 2 months ago. It was a bitter breakup and we havent talked but just a few times since. We end up fighting when we talk. However, I am 6 months pregnant with his son. I dont know whether to keep him informed with whats going on with the pregnancy and the baby (like what the doctors are saying, how much hes kicking and some of the funny things that i have experienced already). I feel like hes missing out on alot of irreplaceable moments, but at the same time, i wonder if he would even want to know since he has oppurtunity to call or text me anytime to find out. Is he just being stubborn as usual and do you think he would really wanna know, or should i just leave it alone and see if he contacts me eventually. Or since hasnt tried to contact me, does he care about this baby at all? Need a lil advice on this.
btw, for those who want to judge me for being a single soon to be mom, it was my choice. I was married and so was he, we chose not to

i am now in my 23rd wk, certain days can feel fetal movement. and certain days, it seems quiet. should i get worried? i seen some comments to get gynae's check. means i have to go gynae whenever that day dont feel movement? CONFUSE!

My wife and I have spoke after an incedent on the news about a woman aborting her baby because if she gave birth the baby will live but it would kill the mother. My wife says that if she is ever in that position she wants to have the baby and risk dying because she has led a full wonderful life and wants her child to have that chance. Now her family is mad at her for this decision even though she aint pregnant, it was just a conversation. I think its beuatiful that she is willing to sacrafice herself for a child. What do you think?

i started the depo shots aug 17, 2004 and imy last shot was july 26, 2005. i havent had a period since aug 2004 not even know. but i was told that u can get pregnant during depo shots, but never understood if im not ovulating. but now i have a problem. i test negative for a preg test dec 28, 2006. i've had intercourse since then but now im having every symptom of pregnancy there is. i just havent taken a test. but how can i know how far along if i am? i havent had a period. i need someone to help me out. from a female please

My step son Is 9 we think he has autism his mom thinks it is ADHD but for some one with adhd he can play games,read books and set in on spot for a long time and reed and color. kids with ADHd don't set still that long I know I have ADHD and so does my son.. ANd we do not take any thing for it.BUT my step son shows all sighs for autism we go friday .. I don't think he should play games tha have killing and Ok (Vice city) (Guns) and games like that his mom said it is fine, we say 1 hr a day is all she lets him to what ever . Ok, so I had sex, "unprotected" last Saturday night. I was supposed to start my period yesterday and didnt. But I did have some "light" spotting on Thursday, and Friday of this past week. Could this be a possible implant sign? I wasnt sure of when you supposadly implant, how many days after and all. And since it was due for my period, didnt know if its coming or what. What do you think?

first quarter report cards that count for nothing (im 15) came in december and at that time, i had 3 B's- honors science, math, and world geo.

my parents told me that if i didnt try to rise them i might not be able to be in our school musical (im a theatre kid)

well, my math grade a B- i raised last week 3 percentages! I scored a 95.4 on my final! it didnt go to an A, just a solid B, but I was still estatic.

my wolrd geography grade no matter what stayed the same! I studied sooo hard, but at least it didnt decrease. I scored a B+ on the final and it stayed a B.

my science went downhill. I got a C on my final and now have a C in the class.

that is terrible. never gotten a C before and my parents are sooo uptight about grades!

now i cant be in the musical and im freaking out. theatre is the only thing that gets me through the day.

i dunno what to do now. no theatre= no happiness.

what should i tell my parents?? I TRIED SO HARD!

i have only 3 A's, 3 B's and a C

I had lost the instructions to my pregnancy test. So I peed in the cup and put the pg test in it for 25 to 30 seconds cause I couldn't remember how long it needed to be in there. It showed up negative but could it be positive because I have soked it too long? I have missed my period for 3 weeks now! Does someone know about this??? Any info would be GREAT! Thanks!

My little brother was staying with me over christmas and is very hyperactive and plays rough with him. He is no longer here but ever since then he has been hitting, kicking, biting, and choking kids at school. When he gets mad he seems to think it is ok to hurt someone. Im already 35 weeks pregnant. I been having little fake contractions. So, now Im actually scared to go out. Im scared that my water is going to break or something. So, what are some signs? I know they say dropping, but how do you know when you dropped. Plus, Im getting a bit more stronger pelvic pain. . Its way too confusing!

Ok I've heard several times before that you can breastfeed a baby that is not yours. Is this true and safe. Example if for some reason I am not yet producing milk but another mom close to me is, is it ok for her to breastfeed my baby? Serious answers only please and also can I breastfeed while I'm pregnant?

My mother died a year ago today!!! she was 64 years old and died very suddenly...she was having a #2 problem for 8 hours straight...started to be in pain so my dad took her to the hospital...2 hours later she was in surgery and they found out she had an infected colon so they removed it and put a bag there instead and to make a long story short...basically cuz she was a smoker...and she was on a breathing machine 50 percent of the time when she was at home...her body could not handle the surgery..she came out in critical condition..a day later, she had a massive stroke and died 12 hours later.....my son was born 5 days later so he is turning a year old on feb 3rd, 2007 and i really am not that intrested in celebrating. I am going too but i feel bad for my son as he gets older cause i am never going to be happy when his birthday rolls around. it's suppose to be a happy time and to me it's not. anybody ever been in a similar situation?

He even sneaks into my room at night and takes things that are only valuable to me. Keepsakes that have emotional value to me. I have punished him, spanked him, taken things away from him, grounded him, taken privalages away, thrown toys away. I have sat down and tried to explain why it is wrong. ok time for my silly question of the day.
my bebe girl is almost 8 mo's she's been crawling for about two weeks, still a little shaking in the crawling phase, but she's already started pulling herself up, and then lets go to try to take off. falls down, doesn't cry unless i react to it, and then stands up again, she wants to stand up ALL day.. i let her, cause she gets upset if i sit her down. but i am just wondering if she can stand too much? cramp up her little legs or something equaly silly? she always stands on her tip toes... and doesn't that gotta hurt after a while? i know i am new at the mom thing, so i can think of a billion questions!
