Call the hospital you plan to deliver at and ask them. I have been at a delivery for a friend and there were 5 of us in there and then when I delivered my son; they only allowed 2 in the room. Also make sure you ask your doctor as well.. he may only allow a certain amount in the room as well. Good luck!!

depends onthe hospital the type of birth and your condition really. I had my first child in a civilian hospital that had LDR rooms, basically I got put in the room when I went in and stayed there till 2 days later when i went home. I had 6 people in the delivery room with me (not including the doctor and nurses) my second was born at the same hospital but was premature so noone was allowed in the room with me. Baby #3 was born in a military hospital and they only allowed my husband to be with me. And I know the policy in both hospitals for csections was spouse only if your awake (and they have to wear sterile gowns and such) and noone if they give you general anesthesia.

Depend on the hospital. Some hospitals have restriction on how many people can be in the room during the delivery.

every hospital is different i think it really depends on the space in the room. the nurses told me i could have 4 but i had over 15 people in the delivery room with me it was really overwhelming. thats also why they give you a limit so your not so overwhelmed. so believe me you probably will regret having more than the people you really need by your side.

Depends on the hospital, my hospital says max 3 no substitutions, if you go into the hospital with the laboring mother you stay there until she delivers. Non smokers only I guess in that case LOL. But yea, ask your hospital maternity desk they will know. Just give them a call :)

Every hospital is different I was aloud to have 4 people, and each person was given a pass. So if one person wanted to come in the other person had to give up there pass!

It most likely depends upon the hospital policy and also your Doctor's policy. I know I wanted as few people as possible in there when I gave birth!

I will only be having my husband, I have been watching a program filmed in the US called maternity ward and honestly cannot believe how many people some actually have in there with them.

At my hospital we could have who ever we wanted. They never actually gave us a limit. I only wanted my husband however.
