ok time for my silly question of the day.
my bebe girl is almost 8 mo's she's been crawling for about two weeks, still a little shaking in the crawling phase, but she's already started pulling herself up, and then lets go to try to take off. falls down, doesn't cry unless i react to it, and then stands up again, she wants to stand up ALL day.. i let her, cause she gets upset if i sit her down. but i am just wondering if she can stand too much? cramp up her little legs or something equaly silly? she always stands on her tip toes... and doesn't that gotta hurt after a while? i know i am new at the mom thing, so i can think of a billion questions!

No, it wont hurt her. Shes gaining strength. My daughter started walking at 8 months and my son started at 7 months. He is now 9 months and can keep up with his big sister. When they are ready they will do it, if it hurts them they'll stop. She may skip becoming a good crawler. My son compeletly skipped it.
Its not a silly question, you a new mom who wants to do whats best for her baby...Good for you!

I'm a new mom, or mom-to-be, too.. so that actually would be a good question to me! Anyway, from what I know of all the other babies in my family, too much standing is actually good. The longer the better, I guess. My neice was like that when she was 7 months, and learned to walk by 9 months! I only hope that my daughter will be like that. A lot of my friends say that I would have a harder time when she starts walking because then I would have to always follow her around and keep an even closer eye on her. But so what, the point is that she learned fast and I wouldn't mind watching her.. isn't that why I'm her mom?

It wont hurt her to stand all day. If she gets tired, she'll sit down. With her standing, it'll build the leg muscles she'll need for when it comes time to start walking. Enjoy these times now, cause once she starts the walking, she'll be all over the place and you'll find yourself chasing after her LOL.

Its fine let her, i had went through the same thing with my son but he like to stand since he was 1 month old and we thought that was odd , but by 6 months he has awesome leg muscles. So we got him a jump aroo its like a johnny jumper but its based on the ground and he love it and just jumped in it for hours. So something like that might work let her use her legs in another way! hope to helped

Nope! Let her stand up on her tip toes if she wants to. It's all practice, muscle memory, strength training. She's learning, and her body will tell her when it's fatigued. Good question, though--

P.S. is an abbreviation of postscript from the Latin post scriptum meaning written after. Its common usage is after the signature in a letter (or modern times an email) to add to the letter. Postscript can be anything from a word, sentence, to many paragraphs.

I say if standing up makes her happy than let her do it all she wants. I have never heard of anything wrong with it and she is probably just dead set on learning how to walk.

Don't worry about it. If it was hurting her, she wouldn't do it. She needs to build up her leg muscles in preparation for walking anyway.
