Good point. There is no difference. If the law can charge him with the murder of an unborn child then why don't they charge every doctor that performs an abortion!

okkkkkk.. so i dont really know where i stand on this but im just giving some input. im not saying im for or against it because it doesnt really affect me in my life right now, although it is a huge issue.
some of u are saying it was not considered abortion because the mother did not make the choice, the alleged father of the baby did it. but i had read a situation where the young mother and father weren't ready for a baby and she agreed for them to go to a parking lot in the middle of the night together and for him to kick her in the stomach until she had a miscarraige!
i dont have a definate answer to this but im just saying something i heard that relates.

Smartass. The guy beat his girlfriend causing her to miscarry the baby. Its not like he stuck a vacuum hose up into her and sucked it out, which he would have done if he was trying to give her an abortion.

Because assault is a crime. And, if someone dies as a result of that assault it goes to a felony assault and murder charges.
Abortion is a choice the mother of the baby makes - NOT the father of the child. Sounds like he doesn't even have the mental capacity to make such a decision in the first place.

what's the difference between a man choosing whether or not a woman has a baby and a man choosing whether or not their dog has a litter of pups?

very old point with a very simple answer that has already been given. Abortion is moms choice, she didn;t choose to be assaulted and she didn;t choose to have her unborn baby killed.
