i just found out i am having a boy!
My boyfriend(not married or planning any time soon) wants our baby to be a jr after him with his last name. i on the other hand really want our child to have my fathers last name middle name and first name, i really want this because he died a 1 1/2 years ago and he always told me to keep my last name otherwise our name will die out me and my dad were very close. i told my bf we will name our next son after him. is it wrong for 2 brothers(if we even have another son) to have different names and who should i name our son after?

I took a pregnancy test, it was an ept, which is a plus sign is positive, and a minus if negative...well, at first i thought it was negative then i looked at it again and there is a faint line going up and down, resulting in a plus sign, i ran it up to my husband and he agreed that there was a line, now my question is, do you think that it could be wrong, because the line is so faint. Now also i am on trazadone for sleeping, should i not take it tonight?

I just don't get it. There is a little girl down the street from me named 'angel', and she gets mocked ruthlessly. Teachers complain they can't pronounce the name, and can you honestly imagine 'honey', or 'angel', on a buisness card? (I know people with both names, and they both hate them) They'd never be taken seriously! Why not give a kid a real name and keep the nicknames to nicknames? Think about the way the children of the 60's suffered, with names like 'sunshine' and 'dewdrop'. Isn't it just irresponsible to curse a child with a name they'll be mocked for their whole life? How selfish can parents be?

I have 2 names that I'm deciding between for my baby. I found out I was pregnant 1 week after my boyfriend of 1 year and I had broken up. He begged me to have an abortion, but I chose not too. He was around for the first 2 months of the pregnancy, then he got extremely hostile and backed out. I haven't spoken to him in almost 6 months. I've paid all the medical bills without his help, etc. When we were still talking, we decided on a list of names we liked. Once the baby is born I don't know if he's going to come around or not. I'm not being unrealistic, but his problem is really with me so for all I know he could come around and be a great dad. I'm thinking this probably ISN'T going to happen but you never know.1 of the 2 names I have picked out is one that he liked, and one isn't.The advice I need is this, should I not go with a name he didn't like? Would that be wrong? I know that if he wanted a say he should be around to give it but I wouldn't want him to hate his daughters name.

I am 30 weeks pregnant and am supposed to be counting his movments. However, he doesn't move at any predictable time and his movements go from having a spaz attack and non stop one day to almost not moving at all the next. I get really worried when he doesn't move. Am I just being over paranoid?

If you go by my period date, I am 5 weeks pregnant. If you go by when I ovulated, I am 3 weeks pregnant. So when I want to look up, growth of baby, symptoms...etc. which week do I go by? Aren't most time lines based on your last period?

Hey here is what has happened.
My period was supposed to show up on Jan 15, but it didnt. Yesturday i felt dizzy and sort of nausuous. Today my back hurts and my stomach feels different, a different im not used to. Im on the pill and currently in a rural area too far from a place to buy a test, so i was planning on doing that on saturday when i get to see my fiance. But i dont want to get his hopes up. Already he seems happy, even though it just a possiblity since i skipped my period. What do you think are my chances of being pregnant?

I am having such a hard time doing anything lately. I am always so tired and cranky. And i cant even go from one room to another without being out of breathe. My sister inlaw must keep him in Diapers. She had been using Equal Line pull ups but they would leak, and he would pull them off so she switched him to Tena diapers and their haven't been any problems since.

Here is the problem though, sister inlaw is starting with a new babysitter. She is 14 years old and has great references. In particular, she has experience with incontinent children and recently babysat an 11 year old boy with Downs Syndrome.
My sister in law works Friday and Saturday Evenings. She doesn't want the girl to get stuck changing a wet diaper when she arrives. So my daughter and I were planning going over early to diaper my nephew and get him ready for bed before the babysitter arrives. The girl has met my nephew and supervised some structured play activity. But we are concerned that my nephew might be sensitive when it comes time for to change his diapers.

Do you have any suggestions to help ease the transition.

my little girl is 14 months old and is cutting her back teeth . We have been using orajel and infant tylenol for the pain, but sometimes it doesn't seem to be enough.She will start screaming and wont stop for like what seems like hours. So my question is does anyone else have any ideas on what i can do to ease her pain.

Ok Last time i had my period it was on Nov. 29, 2006 so I'm thinking Im late for three weeks now. I've been trying to conceive for three months and no luck! but now I think I could be even tho i did a test when i was a week late only. I want to to wait until the 29th of this month to do the other test. Ive been having some kind of wierd feeling kind of nausea like but Im not sure and sometimes I think im going to have my period but nothing! Do u think I could be pregnant?

My daughter is 16 months old and has curly blonde hair. The curls are cute on the sides and top, but the back of her hair is frizzy. I try to put a little water in her hair in the mornings to get the back curly again, but when it dries it is still frizzy. Are there hair products that are safe for toddlers? Any gels? (Oh, and baby lotion makes her hair greasy.) Thanks for any suggestions!

So, I lost mine and my husband's first baby. (I had a bad fall on ice.) My mom was telling me about her aunt from her father's side (blood related), who couldn't have kids, and adopted a son, and that son recently died like a year ago or something. So, is it possible that I can never get pregnant if I don't use condoms, the pill, etc? We have a family history of it of some sort.

my boyfriend dylan and I have been dateing for about 3-4 weeks.

hes so shy i cant help but wonder if he even likes me.

we saw eachother around school but we talked on myspace for about 2 weeks before we told eatchother we liked one another.

i waited to see if he would ever ask me out.
until new years when i got feed up with waiting and asked him if he would go out with me.

he said "hell ya".

so back to my point hes too shy. i always have to say hi to him and call him and hug him and everything.

yet all of his friends tell me he likes me alot.
and we have some of the same friends.

but.. what can i do to make him not be so shy?

I'm a single mother of 2. My 13yr old lives w/my mom cause she's defiant. My 9yr old is ungrateful, has an attitude problem, doesn't like anyone to be authoritative to him, isn't doing well in school, and is a pain in the ***.... i'm tired and ready to give up.. i'm seeing a therapist which is good for talking but what can i do to get my 9yr old to realize that their r many children that would be grateful to have a mother... it's getting to the point that the sight of him makes me sick because i do, do, do.. i feel like i'm being punished for having children.. i sometimes wish i could just go back or send them back... i've lost jobs because of them, been in court because of them and of course cause they don't listen and do what they wanna do i have to suffer and i'm just tired of it.. I feel like i wanna just send him away but to where???? the dad is a deadbeat and i'm a single parent playing the hand that was dealt to me.. Could be worse though right???? Suggestions please!!!

Please help! My son will not sleep through the night and he is 7 months. He gets up every few hours and the only way i can get him back to sleep is by nursing him. During the day he will nurse every 4 - 6 hours but at night it's every 2 if i am lucky. He was sleeping his nights but when he got his 1st tooth at the end of November he stopped. I have tried to introduce him to a soother so he could put himself back to sleep but he will not take one.

Any Advice would be appreciated.
